We are well and truly in the grip of summer here. Last summer was rather cool and damp, and I remember a local asparagus farmer losing his crop to rot while still in the field. Not so this year. Kid's summer camp outings are being cancelled due to poor air quality and extreme humidity, and both young boys have been sunburned. Speaking of getting burned, Betty and I have penned a new Frizzle tale called "Frizzle's Scale Burn" You can probably guess what happens to poor Frizzle. We wrote it shortly after Shandon got quite a dramatic sun burn, and not long after the story was polished, I got sunburned. Guess I didn't learn the lesson well enough.
