Jones Family in China
Well, We have landed in China. We have moved into the new home and it is fantastic. It is much bigger than our last place in America. We now have three bedrooms, two bathrooms (you can bet Mom is happy) and a beautiful living room. Each room has it's own A/C and it's own window. We have closets, bunkbeds, and anything else you can think of. We have finally had a chance to settle into a home. W. and Z. have taken the room furthest from the front door. With three bunk beds, there is enough room to play gymnastics (or marbles) on the floor. They have decorated the whole room with posters of Harry Potter and Video games. Mom wanted to have some color, so they got to put up posters everywhere. They each have their own desk and a dresser that they share. They love thier new room. R. also has her own room. It is twice as big as the room she use to have to share with W. and Z. and now it is all hers. She has asked Mom if she can paint it pink. Mom says she has to wait until winter break, so in the mean time she has put up posters of her favorite cartoon charecters and any pink posters she could find. Sakura and Kiro are all over the walls (Cardcaptors). She also has her own wardrobe, so she finally understands the fun of the book Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. It is a lot of fun to hide in it. The children have pets, 5 fishes (there use to be 37 when the goldfish had babies. We learned a lot about science when we found out that they were being eaten. Then we learned about fish stupidity as one by one they began to swim into the filter.) and two little water turtles. The turtles are a lot of fun. You can put them in the water and watch them swim or you can set them on the floor and chase them around. They are really not that slow. W. Z. and R. went with Daddy to the Yellow River, where they saw a lot of neat things, got to ride in a hovercraft, and to ride on horses. Those pictures will be posted really soon. Next we go see the Great Wall and do more fun stuff.
