HOLLYWOOD.COM
INTERVIEW |
|
|
(FROM THE
PREMIERE OF "ONE MAN'S HERO") |
|
|
|
|
Hollywood.com: |
You're
Pinky! |
|
Rob: |
(As
Pinky:) Yes,
I am! |
|
Hollywood.com: |
I've
heard all about you! |
|
Rob: |
(As
Pinky:) Oh,
you have! (Normally:) Well, I just sang your logo..
the, er, Hollywood.com thing... |
|
Hollywood.com: |
(Sings
it a little:) "Hollywood.com, Hollywood.com..." |
|
Rob: |
Yeah,
I sang that. |
|
Hollywood.com: |
You
did? Now, where did you sing that? |
|
Rob: |
We
sang it at the Clint Eastwood soundstage, at... er,
Warner Hollywood. |
|
Hollywood.com: |
You're
not gonna sing it for me? |
|
Rob: |
"Hollywood.com!
Hollywood.com!" Yeah, that's... that's what I did. |
|
Hollywood.com: |
(Laughs) Very, very nice...
|
|
Rob: |
Yes,
but thank you for talking to me. I am... (As Pinky:) I am Pinky! |
|
Hollywood.com: |
It's
my pleasure to talk to you! |
|
Rob: |
(Notices
the cameraman's reaction) Dude! You like
Pinky and The Brain? (Laughs) |
|
Hollywood.com: |
He's
a fan! |
|
Rob: |
(Laughs) Good for you! We are so
glad. (As
Pinky:)
We love you too! Ha ha... Brain is not here at the
moment... he's in prison! (Normally:) No, just kidding. No, it's
really... it's er, really been a lot of fun, and this
year the folks were kind enough to give me an Emmy, so I
have something to talk about other than just that... |
|
Hollywood.com: |
Congratulations. |
|
Rob: |
Yeah,
thank you. It was a lot of fun... and this is... I'm a
big Tom Berenger fan, so to get an opportunity to come to
one of his movies is... (Adopts an accent:) "I feel like a movie
star!" |
|
Hollywood.com: |
He's
fabulous. |
|
Rob: |
He's
a terrific actor. I've really enjoyed him for a long time...
so I feel very flattered to be able to get here... |
|
Hollywood.com: |
And
what is "Thumbtanic"? |
|
Rob: |
Oh,
"Thumbtanic!" Steve Odekirk. The writer-director
Steve Odekirk has a terrific company called "O!
Entertainment"... and he's got this really
interesting terrific way of super-imposing actors faces
on human thumbs. (Smiles, to let it sink it... and the
interviewer starts giggling) |
|
Hollywood.com: |
That
is so bizarre! |
|
Rob: |
I
know... and you're going, (gets a great 'surfer' accent going:) "wait a
minute, you're drinkin' the bong water!" No... |
|
Hollywood.com: |
Well,
you are, but...! |
|
Rob: |
Yeah,
well... apart from that... it's Hollywood. No... and it's
this really interesting way of doing that; and then they
super-impose these thumb characters with actors faces on
them, in different... it's very bizarre. So, we did one
called, "Thumbtanic," and "Thumb Wars,"
which was a Star Wars knock-off, so all of it's been
quite... |
|
Hollywood.com: |
So,
the thumb's making a big come-back... |
|
Rob: |
Yeah...
|
|
Hollywood.com: |
Right
on! |
|
Rob: |
(Adopts
yet *another* voice <g>:) Thumb-thing's
happening here... what it is isn't exactly clear... |
|
|
Fade Out |
|
|
|
|
|
The End |
