		There were distinctive Acme looks : vintage short-sleeved shirts,  plastic sandals or winkle-pickers and brightly-coloured mohair jumpers were picked up by the soul boys and became one clubbing style,  as did the demob suits worn during the brief Glen Miller revival of 1975.  Acme was a mecca for those who would later get into jazz funk and electro and form the new romantic coterie : club-runners Chris Sullivan, Ollie O´Donnell, Steve Strange and writer Robert Elms.  The premises even hosted one soul boy´s wedding. However,  Acme´s diverse range ensured that it survived fads : ´ We had an office with a (one)-way mirror, and we´d sit in there watching and pissing ourselves because we were so excited at how busy it was, ´  says Raynor.  ´There were queues around the block within two weeks of opening.  I´d get home some ninghts and I´d have thousand of pounds to count out all over the carpet.´ PAUL GORMAN - THE LOOK ACME ATTRACTIONS MENU
