CAP is a program funded by Industry Canada that was created to help businesses and communities learn more about technology and how to use it to their benefit. This includes education about internet use, basic computer program skills, and web design.

Sylvan Lake's CAP site is the Sylvan Lake Municipal Library. Its services include:


  • Free internet and computer use (up to one hour per day)
  • Free training with internet and computers
  • Printing ($0.25 per page)
  • Photocopying ($0.15 per black-and-white, $1.00 per color)
  • Scanning
  • Faxing ($1.00/page local, $2.00/page Alberta, $10.00/page international, $1.00/page received)



You are welcome to visit the CAP site during regular library hours:
1:00 pm - 5:00 pm Sunday
10:00 am - 8:30 pm Monday to Thursday
10:00 am - 5:00 pm Friday and Saturday
