You walked into my life-at a very difficult time

When every inch of strength-was beaten down by crime.

Innocence was shattered-then everything went wrong

You came into my life-and said that we belong.

Rocky months have passed-and,yet,we still survived

But something in my heart-feels neglected and deprived.

I ask you what has changed-to make you seem so distant

You say its only stress-then drop it in an instant.

"Things will SOON get better-when our lives are back on track"

But something else is wrong-and I want to fix it back.

What happened to the times-when you would hold me all night long?

What happened to the times-when you would sing me a song?

Those times when I was busy-and I'd feel you grab my side

And feel your love and comfort-when I had laid and cried.

Is there someone else-that you wish you could hold?

Is that why you're silent-is that why you're cold?

Yesterday's times-were so sincere

So warm,so sweet-and always near.

All that vanished-with the Times of Today
