Wargamers path to Eternal Life                       or how to get to Heaven from the tabletop battlefield
1.) Assess your capabilities, strengths & weaknessess to make the assault on Heaven: Do you have the power to do it?
"Or what king, going to war against another king sits not down first and consults whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand?"
Luke 14:31
The Target/Objective:      " ... be Holy for I am the Lord your God."  Leviticus 20:7

"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
Romans 3:23
Uh Oh, I'm part of the all that the Bible talks about and am far from Holy.
2.) Halt! Better reconnoiter what's up ahead.  We thought we knew what we had to do to gain Heaven, but we find we are  all in the same boat ... and it's sinking! Time to transfer the flag to another ship.   Which one?

   "There is a way that
seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death."

Proverbs 16:25
This ship is really beat up and the other boats around headed in the same general direction all look to be in a similar sad state:

"Enter in at the narrow gate, for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction and many there be that go in that way"                           Matthew 7:13
3.) About Face! We are heading into a mine field ... drifting below Fort Hell's guns as we slide down river. No time to lose. Quick, jump into the launch and do a 180 degree back up river.

"But unless you
repent, you too will all perish"
Luke 13:3
4.) Better reference the Rulebook again. Check the compass and follow the Captain of your soul:

"Jesus answered 'I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.' "                                                           John 14:6
5.)  Surrender to Jesus. There's a ship ahead with a red cross on it  where you can transfer your flag to find safety.

While we were yet sinners Christ died for us. "If you shall confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord and shall believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you shall be saved."                                          Romans 5:8 and 10:9
In order to begin a relationship with God the Bible says that you
  need to:

o  Accept that Jesus died on the cross for your sins.
o  Ask Him to forgive your sins.
o  Allow Him to come to live within you.
o  Let Him be Lord and God of your life.
o  With His help, turn away from whatever God and the Bible call sin.
Here's a little prayer (or use your own words ... God knows your heart):
Dear Lord,   I  know  that  I  have  sinned
and  that  Jesus Christ  died  for  sinners.
I want to turn away from my sin and ask you to forgive me.
Jesus,  come into my life
and help me become the kind of person You want me to be.
Thank you Lord Jesus  for dying for my sin and paying the price
for my rebellion against God.                                     Amen.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave power to become the children of God, even to them that believe on his name."                   John 1:12
"He that has the Son has life and he that does not have the Son does not have life. These things I have written unto you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life and may believe on the name of the Son of God."                                                 1 John 5:12,13
