MID-CAROLINA IPMS SWAMPFOX NEWSFLASH  January / February 2002

Our December meeting had 11 members in attendance. 10 of which participated in the Christmas present exchange! Each member who brought a present had their name in the hat and got to select a gift from the table or a previously opened gift from another member when their name was drawn. It was great fun and everyone who participated had a great time. Thanks to IPMS/ Gamecocks and IPMS/Northmen for the idea.

Elections were also held in December with the same slate of officers as last year being re-elected. Hub Plott was elected President, Steve Isaacson was elected VP and Randy King was elected Treasurer for Life! We were all informed that Country General Hobby store was closing it's doors on Dec. 31st. The club also was informed that trophy sponsorships had been mailed out to those contests we had voted on in November.

Our January meeting had 9 members in attendence. We also welcomed a guest, Bob Fancher. Bob is predominantly an armor modeler and we are glad he came by and hope to have him join up. Alex Smith also announced that he had joined IPMS/USA. It is good to have a Junior member as they are the future of the hobby.
