LATEST NEWS FROM THE 2005 EVENT

OVER 60 FULL SIZE STEAMERS EXPECTED
Always one of the biggest crowd pleasers of the event 2005 will see an increase in the numbers of steam engines on the show ground. It is planned to have over 60 full size examples of steam engine at the 2005 event.

SPECIAL MARSHALL FEATURE
Every year we feature a different maker at the event with previous years highlighting both Bristol and Foden products. 2005 will see the event gather together a number of vehicles and machinery relating to the Gainsborough firm of Marshall. All elements of the show will feature examples from the company including Stationary Engines, Steam Section, Working Arena and of course the Tractors, which will make up the bulk of the display.

VINTAGE & VETERAN AIRCRAFT FLYING IN
One of the unique aspects of this event is our ability to incorporate an informal Airshow into the proceedings. From Vintage Prop Aircraft to Hunter Jets, we have it all at Kemble (In 2004 we even had a 747!). For more details on the Aircraft section please see side panel.

BRISTOL BUS GATHERING

Another major feature of this event is the annual gathering of Bristol Buses, Cars, Coaches and Lorries. Every year this section grows and 2005 is shaping up to be the biggest yet. Other makes of Bus and Coach are also very welcome to attend the festivities.

EXHIBITION ARENA
A new feature for 2005 will be an open area where the steamers and commercials can 'open up' in a controlled enviroment highlighting their usage in the bygone age of steam. The event would welcome corporate sponsorship for this new and exciting section, so if you are interested please

FOUR ARENAS PLANNED
2005 will see no less than four Arenas providing the exhibitor with unlimited opportunities to show off their respective items of transport and agriculteral hertige.
The Main Arens will provide traditional parades of vehicle with informative and commical commentary. A second arena will provide an opportunity to see the Animal section on display as well as many more interesting items present at the event. A large Working arena will highlight steam at work with stone crushers, rack saw benches and threshing drums being driven by steam power. A new additon of the 'Exhibition Arena' is also planned for 2005, providing a 'Playpen' type evnviroment for exhibitors to display their respective vehicles in.
With the event being held on an active airfield if offers an almost unique opportunity to see at close quarters rare vintage aircraft.

It is a feature of the Kemble event to keep movement of all vehicles to the fore. This also applies to the aircraft section where items of interest can be seen flying in and out all through the duration of the event.

From private light aircraft and special chartered vintage examples to the powerful Hunter Jets the skies are as packed as the ground at Kemble.

If you have a vintage aircraft (or a modern one) that you would like to use to 'Fly In' to the event, please contact us on the contact link below.
