| We are so happy and excited that you will be joining us for our wedding on Martha's Vineyard! We've put together this site to help you plan your weekend getaway and to keep you posted on all the details of our Big Day. We've included everything from travel info to pictures, as well as a page describing our favorite things to do. We would like to give you a little history and background as to why we chose the Vineyard as our wedding destination. Martha's Vineyard is our sanity, our sanctuary; and home to many loving memories and great times. As you will soon discover, once the ferry leaves the docks of Wood's Hole and begins the 45 minute ride to the Island 4 miles away, a sense of relaxation and peace overwhelms you. |

Our family history on the Island goes back almost 50 years, when Jason's Mom and her brother, Michael, joined their parents for week long getaways back in the mid 1950's (well before the Clinton's made it their vacation destination). Michael moved up to the Vineyard in 1971 and currently lives on Lake Tashmoo in Vineyard Haven. Jason's grandparents, Dorothy and Sydney followed in 1978. Dorothy, who passed away last year, also lived in Vineyard Haven. Her love was her Japanese Garden, which she designed and nurtured for over 15 years. Her garden was even featured in a photography book called Vineyard Homes and Gardens. We, of course, try to get to the Vineyard as much as possible, whether it's a weekend jaunt, or a weeklong vacation. Each time we visit, we experience something new, as well as continue celebrating the traditions we've created over the 4 years we've been together. We are so excited to be able to share our love of the Island with all of our friends and family this September. |
