If you are in the Dobson-Mount Airy area of North Carolina, we invite you to visit our Guild . . .

The Surry Quilters Guild includes approximately 40 members from Surry County, North Carolina and the surrounding area including parts of sourthern Virginia. Anyone with an interest in quilting or quilts is welcome to join. Visit with us at these meetings to get acquainted. There are always some quilts to see, information about regional quilting events, the SQG library is out for browsing. . . . AND our members love to meet new people.

Meetings are held in the Fellowship Hall of White Plains Friends Meeting. The church is located in White Plains NC on Old Hwy 601, south of McKinney Road and north of Perry Taylor Road.

Our purpose and goal is to promote and perpetuate the Art of Quilting. We strive to benefit and educate all persons interested in preserving, continuing, and advancing this art by teaching, by sponsoring exhibits to encourage community awareness of quilting, by service to the community and by fostering support for beginning to advanced quilters.

Our activites include charity projects, group quilting on charity and personal quilts, long weekend trips to special places and day trips to area fabric stores and quilting events, classes, demonstrations and much support and sharing. Each year we hold a quilt show in October. Please browse the other areas of our site to learn more about us and our upcoming events.
