All Advantage.com : This was the pioneer in the field but one-fine morning informed the members that due to reduction in advertising revenue, it is stopping it's Get paid To Surf program. Instead it offered to pay cash rewards to the members who used All Advantage viewbar for the maximum period.

Value Pay : This company used to claim to be the "Internet's Largest Paying Network" with payout rate as high as US $ 1.0 per hour. ValuePay was regulating the release of it's viewbar to the members since it's inception and promising the members that the viewbar would be released to new members within three months. However I have been a member since 1997 and my turn never came. By the year 2000, it's payout rate dropped to US $ 0.10 per hour and by the year 2001 it has stopped paying members altogether.

IT AdsUP : One of the leading GPS companies at one time, this company has closed down in the most dubious fashion. Without any communication to it's members and without any reference to the pending payments, the website closed down completely unable even to pay for it's domain name.

Urge2Net : Closed down suddenly without any prior notice.

Get Paid 4 : One of the first GPS to pay members worldwide. Initially paid all of the members worldwide. Later stopped paying and completely shutdown in 2001.

Pay Bar : Very reputed GPS program. Shutdown it's get paid to surf program after notifying members in December 2001.

E-Labh : First GPS Program of India. Initially paid some of the members. Later stopped paying and shutdown in end 2001.

Desktop Dollars : Ended it's GPS program after failing to get enough advertising revenue. Currently offers only free stuff & discounts.

Dollar Web : French Canadian GPS site. Initially offered attractive rates but never paid. Still functional, fooling members, but does not pay.
