I am a professional baseball player and I love competition! I also love to hunt my plotts and have lots of fun in the woods. Becoming a breeder has been a very challenging and rewarding experience. While trying to keep balance and accuracy and the ability to win in competition night hunts. Don't forget about loud mouths, track speed, grit, determination, heart along with the tenacity that have made the breed famous for use on big game! All of these traits that I strive for are ones that could describe my personality when I am competing on the baseball field playing or coaching, or even in the woods working a dog to bring out the best of their abilities. Either starting or finishing them I maintain having fun and that's why I do it. Night after night, day after day, and plan years ahead to get what I want. Trust me it's a long road ahead but one I look forward to when I'm back at home in the offseason. Cool autumn nights hunting with my father or friends and enjoying some good dog work and camaraderie. Saying look at that pup go he's sure gonna be a dandy someday. Maybe even a World Champion or a Super Stakes winner. Then I realize it's a very long road ahead but I will do whatever it takes and stay the course no matter how tough! Thanks to Harold Tichenor and the great start he gave me. I hope to carry on his practices and have more future success with his blood. Harold was a great breeder and recognized that Jim Garrison's Brindle Ranger was going to be a real reproducer before lots of others did. I am happy for his foresight! |
MILLENNIUM MAGIC KENNELS IS A PROUD ADVOCATE OF THE PLOTT COONHOUND. WE ARE LOCATED IN LITCHFIELD MICHIGAN, WHICH IS IN THE SOUTHERN TRI-STATE AREA OF OHIO, INDIANA, & MICHIGAN. WE BEGAN WITH PLOTT COONHOUNDS IN 1998 WITH OUR NOW DECEASED NTCH MISTER CANDYMAN AS A PUP. ONCE HE SHOWED US WHAT PLOTTSTYLE WAS WE WERE HOOKED ON THE BREED. NOW, A FEW YEARS LATER WE ARE DEDICATED TO IMPROVING THE BREED AND ADVOCATING FOR IT THROUGH OUR BREEDING PROGRAM TRYING TO PUT THE PLOTT BREED ON TOP OF THE COONHUNTING WORLD AGAIN IN THE NEW MILLENNIUM! Mr. Candyman was the best dog I have ever hunted with period. He was our foundation dog and hopefully someday we will get another as good as he was. It will be terribly hard but that's what breeding is for. Gravedigger is a very good dog and we our proud so far! |

My family decended from the British Isles from a preacher man named John Johnson in the 1600's. Also possibly more importantly as I am drawn to the Plott breed is my ancestors from Hanover Germany, 1775, the Cable family. I have seen old photos of some relatives in the hills of the Carolinas with an old plott dog in the picture. It has also been brought to my attention the new articles in the Full Cry about the famous Cable Plotts! It was ascertained through a few of these articles that my family was very instrumental in developing these dogs I love so much!!! There was a debate over naming the breed after the Plott or Cable family. I hope you get a chance to read the past articles. I was amazed! |

I was only blessed in the coonhunting world to meet Harold Tichenor once. It was at the 2005 Plott Days and I will always remember a very kind, patient, caring person. One who started our Kennel in the right direction by his dedicated breeding practices and good dogs. For a day and a half I picked his brain and I learned so much valuable information that I can't thank him enough. Sadly Harold has passed away. I surely miss him and wish his family well. Thank you Harold and may God bless you! |
