entry:

Well, it's that time of the year again. The one day out of each year that I see my all time favorite band perform. It was during my first semester of college. It was on 9/20/2006. It was supposed to be a very lucky day for me. I work for fye now. My manager, Jen, agreed to have me work for free for the thirty minutes that KoRn was signing so I could meet them. Also, Mike agreed to sneak me up front during KoRn. You'll see how everything really turned out. Now,  I went to college. I hung out there for the amount of time I was supposed to. I was bragging in the morning to my friends about how I was going to meet KoRn. I busted out my KoRn doll and sowed it to everyone cause I was gonna get it signed. Dana was like "ewwww! No one touch it. It's gross. It came from Alena." She kissed me on the shoulder when it was time for her to go to her class. She said we were going to hang out this week, and then she got mad cause she thought I don't love her as much anymore since I wasn't like "FFFFUUUUCCCCKK YYYYYAAAAHHH." Whatever the fuck. I hung out with Shannon and Nicole Remunde and Jameson Stel and Josh Ragers for the three hours of nothing between my two classes of the day. Brian has a new car now. It has a mafia nose grill. So, I was supposed to go with Brian but I come to find out, when I call him from Nicole's phone, that he isn't getting off work till an hour after the show starts. So, I called Dan, and he was like "Yah, I'm on my way." Of course, typical of Dan, he gets there an hour later. While I was waiting though, I ran into another black musician, like Dan, haha yah. I hadn't seen this kid since middle school. His name was Erwin. Apparently he plays guitar in some emo band around here. Anyways, Dan picked me up. He had Amber in the car. Then we had to drive to Brian's work so I could give him his ticket. Of course, we stopped and I got A MASSIVE CAN OF AMP. AND FOR THE REST OF THE DAY I AM FULL OF FUCKING ENERGY HOOOBLAHGAGBALHGALBGJ#*NV#*zzz! We got to the Tiki Bar. I did some James Bond shit. DO DO DO. I snuck into the back. I had Lien come bring him out. I gave him the shit. No ones saw. No one knew. And I was out. Of course me and Dan our doing dodge rolls and swingng on stuff as if we're in the middle of a shoot out on the docks. So, we get back in the car (after all the bad guys are taken care of) and we  went to the show. Dan kept taking the wrong turns and exits though, so we missed BULLETS AND OCTANE and WALLS OF JERICHO. That's ok though, cause I don't like BULLETS AND OCTANE and I recently saw WALLS OF JERICHO. Right when we go there, one of the guys I work with, Mike, was handing out set times and was like, "Hey, go to the fye tent and get your credentials and stuff." So, I went into the tent. Jen gave me my shirt to wear. Kristin, Felice, Tonya, and Jamie were all working. They told me that they found out that only Fieldy was going to be signing. That's fine with me. Alena and Joe Triana found me. I'm happy Joe finally gets his first non-Christian show and it's KoRn. Then, Teresa and Michelle Jordan found me. They were talking about how they were having Travis withdrawals since they las saw me the day before. I didn't get to watch DEADSY cause I was taking care of that work stuff. I think everyone disappeared except me and Joe, and we went up into the lawn to watch BURY YOUR DEAD. There was supposed to be two stages but they did it all on one stage for some reason. Anyways, they were not even five percent as good as they were at Ozzfest 2005. I ran into Jose. I talked to him. After they were done, Alena, Dan, Michelle, Teresa, and Cory found us. 10 years was cool. We decided to do this thing where Dan would walk around the lawn with me sitting on his left shoulder and repeating everything he says in a parrot voice. It was really funny. Then we were like walking around with me on his back, and he was like "Don't worry, We'll hold it together. We're gonna make it through this!" and I wa like "When we make it back, we'll go to the ranch. We'll ride the horses. We'll tend the garden. We'll feed the rabbits" and he was like "Promise me!" and I was like "I promise!" and that was pretty funny too. DIRENGREY is the first Japanese rock band I've ever seen. I wasn't that impressed with them. Between their songs me and Dan were like "GODZILLA!!!" FLYLEAF was better than when I saw them at the Global Gathering. So, sometime during their set it was time for me to go to work. I go over to the autograph booth, and they're like "you need a pass." So, I go back to the fye tent and they give me a VIP sticker. I go back there. We find out that Fieldy decided not to sign. What the fuck. So, me and the other two works back there have to go out and tell the long line of people that no one in KoRn is coming out to sing. Then we had to check the line with people for bracelets to meet DIRENGREY. So, I'm back there and I'm like. "Yah, I'm not getting payed for this. Am I gonna get anyone in trouble if I just leave" and the lady in charge was like were like "Don't worry about it." So, I left. I went over to the fye tent and Jen is infuriated with me. I really fucked her over. This is going to the district manager. In fact, it's so bad that one or both of us may get fired. I'd rather it be me than her. She went out of her way to do this for me and I totally didn't even give her the thirty minutes in return. I didn't do a damn thing. Everyone else was busting their ass off all day. Next thing I know I'm like crying in Dan's arms (we're not gay together. I promise). I was depressed fro the rest of the night. I couldn't enjoy STONE SOUR's set. At least, not until the last few songs when Alena asked me to dance. I was like "No" and she was like "yes' and I was like "no" and she was like "yes" and I was like "fine" and we did and immediately I felt better. Night fell. deftones came on. Their music made me depressed again. Even though I love them to death. I still dance during all their songs though. It started poring ass rain during 7 Words, which they played last. That was fucking the shit, oh my god. So, Mike sneaks and Bleak up to the front for KoRn. One of the security guys notices and throws us back out. So, Mike and Brian got to see them up close, who mind you are not even close as big of KoRn fans as I am. So, I got back to the lawn where Dan, Teresa, Michelle, Shannon, Joe, and Cory are. front row or not, KoRn was just as great seeing them in the lawn. Actually it was better then it would have been I think. The lawn was all mud now. KoRn was only FUKCING AMAZING! They had people on stage in oxfords and ties and animal masks form the See You On The Other Side cover playing the extra instruments during the weird interludes between songs. The set was as follows:

1. Right Now

2. Twist

3. Love Song

4. A. D. I. D. A. S.

5. Falling Away From Me

6. Coming Undone

7. Got the Life

8. Throw Me Away

9. Shoots and Latters

10. Cameltosis

11. Wicked

12. Politics

13. Here to Stay

14. Freak on a Leash

*.  Hollow Life (acoustic)

*.  Twisted Transistor

*. Y'all Wanna Single

*.  Blind

I was dancing the whole time. I was doing by myself except occasionally Michelle would grind on me. Dan, Cory, & Teresa had to leave after Twist. Jonathin Davis brought out a fire hoes and sprayed everyone in the seats with it during Got the Life. They didn't actually play Cameltosis. They just played the beginning of it. Of course it was fuckin awesome whenever Chino from the deftones came out and together he and KoRn did their cover of Ice Cube's "Wicked". Alena came to us during Politics. Now I had someone to dance with. Now it wasn't just me. Now it was more fun. There four songs for the encore. The first being an acoustic rendition for Hollow Life. I really liked that. David Silviera even brought out the bongos. it was so fuckin beautiful. Alena and Joe had to leave after Y'all Wanna Single. I'm so happy they ended with the song that started this them. During Blind, Right whenever it kicked in with the "ARE YOU READY!" and the whole stage just exploded with confetti and shit and the lawn just went crazy into one giant mosh pit. It was so fuckin awesome. On the way out, it looks like my favorite co-worker somehow managed to get me a singed copy of See You On The Other Side.  So, it looks like Brian's taking me home. We're in his car in the parking lot. We're trying to leave when all of a sudden we look to the left and all we see is a giant truck girll on our window pummeling us around. We freak out. Brian has to climb out the window because his door won't open. A rde neck gets out of the truck and explains that his breaks failed. So, for the next hour Brian and this guy are signing insurance stuff and talking to cops and making phone calls. No one was injured. We got home safely (aside from the scary noises the car was making). I just wanna say though, this guys was so country. His bumper was a fence post. His grill was a plate of diamond steel. The truck was painted in like three different un-matching colors: red, green, & white. If his wheels were any bigger he probably would have plowed us over like a monster truck. Anyways. I hope the next  concert won't be so unlucky. Actually, come to think of it, Joe recently said he heard that it's bad luck to wear a band shirt that you're going to see. I said "no, it's not that, it's just people think it's lame. I've had great luck every time I've done it." Maybe I shouldn't have said that.
