I call myself "The Original Computer Tutor". One of the things which
makes me unique is that I claim to know the exact order one has to look
up the words in computing technology in order to get to the point one can
study in the field of computing on one's own.
I completed a degree in Mathematics at U of Minn. six years before
the first article was published proposing a degree in Computer Science.
When I checked my transcript, I found that I had created a Degree in Computer
Science on my own without help from counselors.

With over 40 years hands on experience in Aerospace and the medical
field, I have the background to teach someone in most aspects of computing.
In addition to tutoring in Computer Literacy, I also tutor in English Literacy and Health Literacy. |
I was one of the first tutors in a project, which has become known
as the World Literacy Crusade.
From that, I helped pioneer the concept of teaching tutoring as a vocational skill at Jefferson High School in Los Angeles (LAUSD). At the beginning of 2000 I setup a Computer Network at Mary's Schoolhouse on L. Ron Hubbard Way in Hollywood. I then taught some of the middle schoolers the basics of Web Artistry. I taught an advanced course in computer science to some high schoolers. On Saturday afternoons during April and May of 2000, I taught five people from Central America English as a Second Language (ESL). In less than 30 hours of course time, all of them were prepared to start studying courses in the English language on their own! |
One of my hobbies is Public Speaking as a member of a Toastmasters
club.
I have been an active member of Renaissance Speakers for the past nine years. They meet at Celebrity Center International every Sunday morning from 9-12. I have also been active in Toastmasters District 52 contests as a judge. You can see a picture of the location where we meet Celebrity Center International |
