Death of a Skatalite - By now you have probably already heard about Skatalite's ex-saxophone player, Tommy McCook's death. In the morning of June 5, he died from pneumonia in his Atlanta home. He has been suffering from recent health problems. He was 71.We at the NY Ska Page dedicate the new updates to this man who is not only a great musician, but person as well. His life is an inspiration for rudies all around. The Mining Company has a special look back at the contributions of Tommy McCook, with exclusive commentary from Westside Records' Tony Rounce and Studio One's Coxsone Dodd. Also, as a sedication to Tommy McCook, the Moon Records sponsored a showcase at the Wetlands on Sunday, May 31 to raise money to help Tommy's wife out with medical and funeral bills. Bands include the Skatalites, the Toasters, the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble,   the Bluebeats, Dion Knibb & the Agitators, etc.

Interview with the Infamous Goldfish - Here it is. Finally up! The Edna's Goldfish interview is up and ready for you fans out there. Be sure to check it out and pray for more good weather. Hopefully, we'll land a bunch more interviews.
