Death of a Skatalite - By now you have probably already heard about Skatalite's ex-saxophone player, Tommy McCook's death. In the morning of June 5, he died from pneumonia in his Atlanta home. He has been suffering from recent health problems. He was 71.We at the NY Ska Page dedicate the new updates to this man who is not only a great musician, but person as well. His life is an inspiration for rudies all around. Also, as a sedication to Tommy McCook, the Moon Records sponsored a showcase at the Wetlands on Sunday, May 31 to raise money to help Tommy's wife out with medical and funeral bills. Bands include the Skatalites, the Toasters, the New York Ska-Jazz Ensemble,   the Bluebeats, Dion Knibb & the Agitators, etc.
