Band History:
The band united on a cold fall morning in a dirty garage in Fort Mill, SC in hopes of making wonderful music, and it happened. On August 23, Fruit or Fiction (then, they were "The Ingredients") began their first ever jam session--only to break up immediately afterward, but the session generated an interest toward making music. A month later, five of "The Ingredients" decided to get together once again in hopes of making music--and it happened. They immediatly decided to dump their name, but had trouble deciding another. Two weeks later in a grungy cafeteria somewhere in the underground of Fort Mill, the name came to them on the back of a Mott's Apple Juice carton (whether they were dropping acid at the time is uncertain)--Fruit or Fiction? became the name.
