For me the Bitterne Run started on the very second ever Bitterne Run when a bunch of my strange friends, had previously got into a not so rusty Metro to travel to Bitterne, and back to the pub. Then they dragged me along on the next one to see what they were raving on about! I spent the whole time hiding as they were playing and singing to the Teletubbies! but soon I lost all sense of embarrassment and joined the madness! I have been a fully fleged member of the Bitterne Run Team ever since. Once or twice they even bunged me in the boot!. Later on the leader of the gang got his very own car if that's what you call it. So we changed from the not so rusty Metro to the very rusty Metro, and we got worse! The play list expanded, some may say it got worse!. Somebody had the stupid idea to take photos, so the camera came along too, this was on our very first Southampton Run! Then came the video camera on the smallest Bitterne Run ever with only 3 people and some props.
