Live At Hammersmith

Live At Hammersmith

Producers: Mark Mendoza, Jay Jay French

This long-awaited live album from Twisted Sister was released in 1994, ten years after it was initially recorded.
As far as production is concerned, the music quality is flawless (if you can ignore the misstep in the guitar solo from "What You Don't Know...".). The tracks contained therein reflect a collection of Twisted's greatest material from "Under the Blade" up to "Stay Hungry". Also included are two rare tracks recorded in Detroit, circa 1979.
Highlights of this album are, IMHO, "Under the Blade" (a recurrent Twisted favorite) and "We're Gonna Make It". Both of these tracks reflect the character that was Twisted Sister...hard, driving music with a dose of street metal.
Personally, I am a fan of live releases WAY before a studio release. My favorite albums, in order, are Twisted's "Live at Hammersmith", my Snider bootlegs, KISS' "Alive", Savatage's "Live Japan '94", and Lizzy Borden's "Murderess Metal Roadshow". This Twisted album is everything that a live album should and could be: fantastic songs, on-stage rap, and charisma.
