Passepartout Franco Turra & the Exagerated Hearts.... maybe you're asking to yourself...who are they?!?!
Right! And now we're gonna solve the case in a few lines: you ran into the house of the musical event of this century's end... Wow! Modesty apart, eh?? ;-)
Joking aside, Franco is a "super" musician which plays and compose music since a long time, and he does it better and better all the time, ever more original, ever more... etc.etc...
His musical history begins nearly in 1983, with his first "serious" group, Pseud O'Hara.
He used to sing in English. It was the time of the "new wave", but even then he was going countercurrent. It was vangard already!!!!
Then, in 1984, Bohèmien Flambé were born, a band with
whom Franco will get a lot of good satisfactions, even if not picking up all what they deserved... This time he sang in French(!)... Almost a continuous wandering in search of the sacred language! :P
The project was ambitious: undusting the mood of the French chansonniers, revisiting it in a Mediterranean way, then shakering the whole!! What an explosive mixture!!!
It's during this period that Franco with B.F. took part to the most important Italian underground's musical events, such as Indipendenti 1987 & 1990, Arezzo Wave in 1989, L'Europe d'art d'art in France in 1990, etc. etc.... For some reason or for another, then, something was always going wrong... so... Let's start again!! :(
Records? Which records? Who needs they? There weren't any, even if the contacts abounded, yes they did! Let's say that the destiny has always played its bantering role... jolly fellow!!!
So they had to be satisfied with some fleeting appearance into some chi
merical compilation... :-/
But what the use of crying? So good Franco has always regenerated himself, just like the famous phoenix, and has taken off towards his new and current adventure: the Italian! :^)
Yes, because it's infact since 1993 that his "Italian bend" took place. After he sang into so much languages, Franco has finally became convinced that even his mother-language can, wisely used, be suitable and exploit his music, the same way, if not more, compared to all the other languages of the whole world!!
Now he has already 5 CDs entirely sung in Italian and self-produced in complete indipendence!!! Not forgetting the parallel projects and, last but not he least, the forthcoming new album "Paradossi per illusi", which would finally see the light around end of May/first weeks of June 2000. Salivation is massive...
Anyway Franco never sleeps, and he goes on, and carries on to alternate his more traditional things with the more varying and amb
itious projects, such as the making of music for shows, ballets, the famous yearly Christmas Single, the work in his recording studio with the most interesting emerging artists & bands of his "Bolognese" area, etc.etc...
