Our House Restoration Project
We've been married for 6 years now...getting quite feeble and old (especially Carol)...so we decided to move from glittery Las Vegas to a small quiet town in Vermont.  Currently we have been busy restoring our home.
Our Victorian house, built in the Queen Anne style, circa 1902.  According to some locals, it was considered the "Showplace of North Main Street" many years ago.
Here's our house just after we purchased it in 2001.  Except for some touch up, the exterior hadn't been painted in over 30 years and the wraparound porch had some serious rot problems.

Bathroom restored - new tile floor, sink, wallpaper, crown molding, and toilet
Main stairway with new runner
Ceiling in dining room.  We started this project months ago, but can't seem to finish.  We did, however, put up the wallpaper and light fixture.
Cabinets in the "Butler's Pantry"
...and here's a closeup of some of the detail painting.  Six colors were used in all - beige, brown, burgundy, dark purple, bluish purple, and black.
Finally finished with the exterior paint in October 2002.  Unfortunately, the afternoon lighting is poor.  Yes, we BOTH drive station wagons.
Barn behind house.  Currently serves as a garage and workshop.
