A Requiem For Death is A Doom/ Death/ Black Metal band out of Anchorage, AK.

We originally formed as Requiem in 1997 with the orginal members Jason Damm on guitar, Tyler Platt on Drums, and Chad Allen on Bass and Vocals. We parted ways in 1998 and Chad tried for years to get a stable line up only able to hang on to Jeff King on Drums, from a former band called Kil Sitk. In late 1999 Chad was forced to change the band name by a Russian band by the name of "Requiem" the name was changed to A Requiem for Death. Now in 2000 things are looking up for A Requiem for Death with the return of a long time friend of the band Chris Shupe a guitarist from out of Florida, more work will continue in November after Chris returns to Alaska.
