Taco Biography
He was born Taco Ockerse to a Dutch couple in Jakarta, Indonesia, on July 21, 1955. "Puttin' On The Ritz" was recorded in Germany in 1981. He released "After Eight" in 1982, "Let's Face The Music" in 1984, "Swing Classics, in the mood of Glenn Miller" in 1985, the soundtrack to the German film "Whiz Kid" at an unknown date, and two "Best Of" compilations with identical track lists. I have not heard "Swing Classics" or the soundtrack. He also did the theme song to the Tom Selleck movie "Lassiter" which I have not yet seen (although it is occasionally on television). "Puttin' On The Ritz" has also appeared on numerous 80s compilation CDs, although the video is seemingly unavailable commercially. He apparently played the role of "man at party" in the 1991 German film "Karniggels" directed by Detlev Buck.

Taco currently resides in Germany, and has recorded and performed there over the past few years (note his now-defunct official site taco-online.de).
