intro

This page is dedicated to concerts I have been to and the place where I have seen most of them, The Gorge Amphitheatre. To the left, are links to pictures, information, and tour dates. Note that this is an unofficial site based on my own personal experiences. I am not connected in any way to the amphitheatre itself.

view of the stage, general admission terrace seating, and reserved seating

The Gorge Amphitheatre is near George in Central Washington state. It's about a half hour to an hour drive off I-90. It's hidden away on the cliffs over looking the Columbia River.

The Gorge Amphitheatre is outdoors and so is mainly used in the Summer and late Spring. I have seen five concerts there the most recent concerts having been the Lilith Fair (1997 and 1998). It's a very beautiful place to see a concert, but your view depends on where you sit. If you're in general admission you have a much better view of everything around you (the river and cliffs), but if you have reserved seating you can see the performer(s) much better.

To the left, are links to several pages I have put together so that people will know what to expect. All information on the site is from personal experience. Remember that I don't make the rules (example: no cameras), but that some of these rules can be bent slightly (i.e. Most concerts 'officially' don't allow cameras, but the people searching bags at the gates will generally allow non-professional cameras in, and most bag searches aren't that careful).
