Darius was born in Charleston, South Carolina on May 13, 1966. He is one of six children, three boys, three girls...

He is currently single, although he is said to be dating a woman from New York. He has a daughter, Carolyn Pearl Phillips who was born in April of 1995 from a former relationship (Carolyn's mother is reportedly the subject of "Let Her Cry").

Darius learned to play drums in the 6th grade and built on his musical talent from there. His favorite Christmas carol is "The Christmas Song" which you can listen to on the main page with Darius himself singing it.
