Well, last night was the best night of my life! I got to the college about an hour
and a half before the doors would open and about 5 people were already there.
After waiting 45 minutes, I heard Marvelous 3's Sound Check. The only song they
played was Write it on Your Hand. It was really good! I finally got in,
and the venue said that I could bring in my camera, so I figured
that meant all kinds so I brought in my video camera too. I got my
Marvelous 3 shirt and ran to the front of the floor. Then I waited another
painful hour and the guys hit the stage. I pulled out my video camera
and started filming, unfortunately the camera had an error and didn't record ANYTHING!
For some reason, it was trying to record in Fast Forward mode and went through one tape in
2 minutes. But I came prepared and grabbed my audio recorder, I did miss
the first song but oh well. I also got 24 pictures of them playing! Here is their set:

After they finished, I went outside and walked behind the venue to see if the
guys were going to come out. I waited with about 6 other Marvelous 3
fans to meet them. After about 30 minutes, Butch came out and talked with us
for like 30 minutes! He was so cool! I told him about my web site and he said that
he had already seen it because someone e-mailed him telling him to check it out.
He said, "It's a killer site!". I almost had a heartattack! Butch also let us
know that during the last song he was going to come back onstage and sing a song
w/ Collective Soul. I knew that I couldn't miss that! Then Jayce came out and talked for a while,
then Slug came out and talked. They are the coolest, normal people that you could ever meet!
I got like 10 pictures w/ the band! After the whole band left I walked back inside and waited until
Butch would come out. He finally came out and was wearing the shirt that
Heather made for him. I got a couple pictures of them on stage. After the show
was over I got the setlist from the lighting guy. Here it is:

After the show, I walked behind the venue again and waited to see if Marvelous 3
or Collective Soul would come out. Butch came back out and talked some more.
After he left, I went over by the Collective Soul bus and one by one,
the group came out. I met all of the guys in the band,
except for Dean [Rhythm Guitarist], but I got pictures w/ all of the rest of them.
I asked a security guard if he could go get Dean, but what he did was take my album cover
and selist and went and got them autographed for me. I can't wait for Marvelous 3
to come back to Virginia, or any where within 500 miles of my house!
