Selena Poems
Three poems written for Selena.

A Poem for a beautiful Angel
By Lori Ann Mata (Webmaster)
In the world of cold sadness
her voice gave warmth to the sun
in this sky of so black
she made all of us kings and left fools of none.
She was a dream, that had never been dreamt
she was a letter, that had never been sent
filled with hopes, plans, aspirations that were just lent
for 23 years to us.
Now, in the dawning and the aging ageless time
she went
What is left?
For we have lost our burning torch,
lost the hope of a young woman that was scorched
by an evil of the experienced
just as she was a nymph of innocence.
Mourn for what is left, and what is left shall be remembered
for we can not forget those whose life they have rendered.
Selena, oh Selena
By Amanda
Selena, oh Selena, your life was a dream.
Selena, oh Selena, you are the Tejano queen.
Your music inspired us, with such beautiful words,
And your voice that carried them was always heard.
You were kind, gentle, and sweet as a dove,
And to your fans, you showed your love.
Selena, oh Selena, your life was like a dream,
Selena, oh Selena, you will always reign as the Tejano queen.

Siempre Selena

A Poem by Sara

Siempre Selena ,

and the look in there eyes

as they heard the farewell from this singer that died.

This I'll remember to keep still in time,

to bring her back I'd use my last dime.

froze in my heart it will burn me inside

these feelings I have I shall never hide.

Soon I will Sing and tell the whole world too.

That my dear Selena I do love you.

(Let me just say that this poem touched my heart. It was a must for my page.)
