Memories play so clear
But have forever disappeared.
Memories so far in the past
But in my mind forever last.
Memories of happy times
I wish again were mine.
Memories of when I felt cared
And was never scared.
Memories that seem to be
Nothing but a dream.
Memories too good to be true
Now make me feel blue.
Memories I try to erase
But my heart continues to embrace.
Memories I wish to leave behind
But I keep pressing rewind.
Memories I can't block out
Cuz my desire still shouts.
Memories I wish to recapture
But must move to the next chapter.
Maybe as I move along
Again to you I will belong.
Memories of happy times
Will forever be mine.
