Strikers Do The Locomotion

Kylie Minogue once said "everybody's doin the Locomotion" and the Strikers were certainly do'in the Locomotion on Sunday. After a bit of a disjointed middle part of the season with a game being called off early and a couple of weeks off because of bad weather.
It  was the Strikers of 2000 with a handy 4-1 lead at half time. Iva showed his knack for blasting a goal early on in the piece and then the moment that will probably set the Strikers up for the rest of the season. Everyone's favourite player Roni G showed his class by chipping the keeper form at least 30 yards out. If Roni G played for Brazil the joke would be going around after the world cup:

They both can lob Seamen from 30 yards!!!!

Blinkers Norton showed why he is a worthy understudy to the great Roni G by banging two wonderful goals before half time.

But the credit for the win has to go with the unsung heroes of the Strikers:
  Scotty "don't fuck with me" Drivewayman
  Chris "the Enforcer" Neamo
  Tony "yes I am glad to see you" Tones
  Matty "whats my mother fucking name" Mark Mike
  Yoko "I am also glad to see you" Bono

These fellas work tirelessly either in the backs or in the mid and don't get the glory of the showy dudes up front, but without their guts and grind the glamour boys; Ron, Gash, Hoffa and Iva couldn't show their Brazilian flair every week.

Next week the A's are up for a flogging so bring it on!!!
