A team night on the piss has resulted in a lack luster performance by the
Strikers against Hornby's finest. Mad House has ended the Striker's four match
winning streak and shocked them back to reality.
The Strikers had their chances in the first half but failed to capitalise. A
top play saw Drag'm latch onto a super cross from out
wide with a marvelous header but cannoned the ball over the top  .
Stinking of Dirtbag's goal scored last season, Matty Mark Mike gave the
Strikers hope just before the half when he intentionally lobbed the keeper from
ten inside halfway. Good to see MMM finally get off a duck and also earn himself
man-of-the-match in doing so.
Mad House came out strong in the second half and dominated play. A small
defensive lapse lead to the equaliser ten minutes in. It was a disappointingly
good first time strikerom well outside the box into the top corner of the net.
Very loose midfield marking allowed the action replay twenty minutes later,
only this time time from well outside the box.
Giving their all the Striker's released all the stops in an attempt to at
least draw the match. This only helped to facilitate their demise. Cyclone matt
pulled out a "Batty" when he ran to the top of the
box and threw the ball out to Jesus who was looking the other way at the time.
The Mad House players intercepted the ball and returned the favor by chipping
the ball back over Cyclones head and into the the vacant goal... top corner yet
again!!!
Maybe we should learn from Mad House who turned up with a bus load of faithful
supporters. Big ups to the our supporters who did turn up... Tin Tin, Larns
and Drag'm's mate from Oz.
Captains Report
A very soft effort this week boys. A hard effort on the Saturad'y night probably
led to the dismal effort on Sunday Day. Top goal from Matty-Mark-Mike but one
goal with the wind advantage was never going to be enough and things just got
worse as the game went on. Maybe a week off training will help refresh us.
