Sinos Cerāmicos
Welcome to the website of Sinos Cerāmicos.  It had to happen sooner or later.  This is the site dedicated to the ring of 4 ceramic bells hung (very crudely)in a garage in Shepton Mallet.
It all started after I got drunk with my sister in yeovil one afternoon, while looking around yeovil we entered a shop that sold ornamental flower pots.  Being the insane mad ringer that I am I decided to bang them and here what notes they produced.  To my delight they sounded very much like the treble and two of a ring of four.  After banging several of the others I bought these two.  When home I made some headstocks out of 4/2.  And some wheels from an old tree trunk my sister had.  Although this is not ideal the bells are very much ringable!!!

Then, while my aunty was in portugal she rang and asked if I would like anything, I joked and said, Yeah find me a plant pot that rings the note C#.  Two my extreme delight when I picked her up from the airport they rolled out this box containing a huge pot, which ideally rang the note just above C#.  What a legend.  Now all I needed was a third. My Grand-dad is a very keen gardener.  Result, he had exactly what I was looking for!!  A pot of very strangwe design that fitted in beautifully with the others.  I now had a beautiful ring of 4.  Hanging the third was a huge problem as it was so long.  but using dowel and a ping pong ball filled with sand, It was ringing true!!!
The first quarter on the bells was scored on Sunday 22nd May using members of my own family.  After 3 or so hours of tuition a beautiful quarter of Plain Bob Minimus came round in 31 minutes.  So Sinos Cerāmicos Was Born!!!!
