TV SPOT #1: NECRONOMICON LEGEND The New Line logo appears, fades out. A sea of blood fills the screen. The Necronomicon comes spinning up into a CU. "The Necronomicon Ex Mortis. The Book of the Dead..." The book lays on a dusty table. ASH steps up to the table and picks it up. The pages of the book turn, showing us familiar sights from the EVIL DEAD series and JASON GOES TO HELL. "Inked in blood and bound in human flesh, there are passages in the book that can open doorways to other dimensions and unleash unimaginable evils..." FREDDY stands in front of Ash, who's wrapped up and held in place by chains and pipes. FREDDY: I want the book, and you're gonna help me get it. AMY picks up the book as Freddy steps up behind her. Ash is thrown through the air and lands beside the Necronomicon. FREDDY: With the Necronomicon, I'll have so much power they'll never be able to stop me. When nightmares and reality are one, I'll be God. A swing of JASON's machete knocks the Necronomicon out of someone's hand. Amy slams one of her wrist-blades down into the book's cover. FREDDY VS JASON: THE EVIL DEAD TV SPOT #2: ASH LEGEND The New Line logo appears, fades out. We look over the woods of Crystal Lake. "For years he's been tormented by unimaginable evil..." The EVIL DEAD cabin sits in a clearing. ASH walks through the cabin. Dried blood of various colors cover the floor and walls. "It took his friends. His girlfriend..." DEADITE LINDA lunges at the camera. Freddy/Ash kicks DEPUTY RAIMI in the face. "His hand." Ash pulls his prosthetic hand off. "He never though he'd encounter anything worse." Ash cautiously walks through FREDDY's boiler room, steam all around him. CUT TO BLACK. "He was wrong." Ash, chainsaw now attached to his wrist, is caught between Freddy and JASON on a boiler room catwalk. Ash screams. In the Evil Dead cabin, Freddy reaches through the mirror and pulls Ash backwards into it. Jason swings his machete. Ash blocks it with his chainsaw. Fire explodes up out of a pit. We hear Linda singing - "We're gonna get you, we're gonna get you. Not another peep, time to go to sleep." FREDDY VS JASON: THE EVIL DEAD THEATRICAL TRAILER The New Line logo appears, fades out. We're left looking at a black screen. IN 2003, EVIL BATTLED EVIL Moonlight glints off the razors on FREDDY's glove in a hallway. JASON's machete swings through the air. Freddy bursts out from under a bed in a dark room. Jason crashes through a window, holding an axe. OLD MAN HOPPER sits at a bar, talking. OLD MAN HOPPER: There's evil out in the woods. ASH sits beside him. ASH: I know all about evil. Black screen. THE WAR ISN'T OVER Freddy, Jason and Ash fight their way down a catwalk in Freddy's boiler room. FREDDY: You think you can stop me? Jason throws Ash through a window. Freddy and Jason grapple in a clearing in front of the EVIL DEAD cabin. Ash fires his shotgun into the camera. Black screen. THIS SUMMER Jason tosses TIM across a cabin room. Ash, AMY, EVAN and MICHELLE stand together in the cabin, holding their homemade "Evil Dead 2 meets Dream Warriors" weapons. MICHELLE: Are we dreaming or are we awake? ASH: I don't think there's a difference anymore. Amy follows several CHILDREN in white, glowing clothes down a dark, dirty hallway. Black screen. GOOD & EVIL Freddy flicks his claws at Ash's face. BRANDY sits on a bed in a dark room, squinting into the darkness. Jason steps up behind Freddy/ERIC in the Voorhees house. Black screen. WILL FIGHT Fire explodes up out of a pit in the boiler room. Black screen. TO THE DEATH Amy and a NUN stand in a hallway, talking. AMY: Where are we? NUN: Where the nightmare began. The nun turns to the camera and her face becomes a skull. OWEN hits Jason in the face with a baseball bat. Freddy rips his shirt open to reveal the faces of 4 trapped souls in his chest. Amy is thrown backwards through a chapel wall by an invisible force. A huge section of Freddy's stomach and section explodes in a wave of green blood, throwing him across the boiler room. Jason backhands OFFICER MYERS. A roomful of COPS open fire on Jason. Ash approaches the crumbling old Voorhees house. In the woods, living vines wrap themselves around Jason. FREDDY: I'll swallow your soul! DEMON FREDDY turns on Jason and Ash. Freddy/Ash kicks DEPUTY RAIMI in the face. Ash walks into the EVIL DEAD cabin, shutting the door behind him. The door turns red and when we pull back the cabin has morphed into 1428 Elm. Ash swings his chainsaw at Freddy. DEADITE LINDA charges at the camera. A giant Freddy head, a Freddy-ized version of the "ROTTEN APPLE HEAD" from EVIL DEAD 2, bursts through the back door of a cabin. Several bloated, pale CORPSES enter the main room of the EVIL DEAD cabin, walking toward Jason. Amy sinks into a floor that has become a quicksand-like substance. Jason swings an axe at Ash. Ash dodges the axe and cuts the handle in half with a small chainsaw. Ash is thrown through a stained glass window. As Ash is held in place by chains and a pipe wrapped around his waist as the camera speeds toward his screaming face. CUT TO BLACK. DEADITE LINDA: We're gonna get you, we're gonna get you, not another peep, time to go to sleep...
