CODY'S CRAZY CROSSOVER CONCEPTS

When I first started out on my crossover writing spree, I had A LOT of
crossover ideas. The following is a list of the ideas that I probably
won't get around to writing before I hang up my gloves and retire to
smaller, worse things.

Some of the ideas had stories behind them, some of them were just titles
I wrote down. Some of these might actually end up getting written, or the
list might just end up getting longer. Who knows?

ALIENS VS PREDATOR - It's a popular crossover idea, so I considered writing
my own version before the movie came out. Didn't get as far as thinking of a
story for it, though. It probably would've had a jungle setting... Just add
Aliens, well-armed humans and a Predator or few, shake well.

ALIEN VS PREDATOR VS RIDDICK - With most of the fan hopes for FvsJ2 involving
the addition of a third character, and my preferred version of that being the
addition of an established hero, I thought of doing a similar crossover for a
follow-up to AVP. Riddick's had alien fighting experience and the story might
have been fun to write, I just haven't gotten around to it, and doubt I will.

BUBBA VOORHEES - Camp Crystal Lake has been converted into a nursing home and
one of its residents just happens to be an elderly Elvis Presley. He, of course,
ends up crossing paths with, and using his stuff on, Jason Voorhees.

The thought of this crossover came from my need to see Bruce Campbell on the
screen with Jason, no matter who he's playing.

CRIMSON MOON / JEEPERS CREEPERS - I think it was THE ONE AND ONLY that suggested
that The Creeper might be interested in using some werewolf skins for seat
covers in his truck. The bikers-that-are-wolves motorcycle around, The Creeper
drives around, the bikers are bound to cruise down his highway eventually...

FREDDY / JASON / BLADE - If they didn't mention Ash as the hero they'd like to
see added to FvsJ2, (very few) people suggested Blade. So, of course, I thought
about writing it. Freddy would've just been added to the "JASON VS BLADE" idea
listed below.

FREDDY / JASON / LEATHERFACE - Saw some hoping this crossover would be FvsJ2,
so I added it to my possibilities list. Never gave it much thought, but it
would've been interesting to see Freddy slogging through Leatherface's mind.

Leatherface would've been Bubba Sawyer, though, 'cause fuck Thomas Hewitt.

FREDDY / JASON / MICHAEL - The crossover many want to happen. I thought about
it, with the rule that Freddy can't be using anybody as a puppet this time.
The oft suggested "Freddy wants revenge, so he sends Michael after Jason", out
the window.

What I came up with was, Michael has been locked up in Westin Hills following
the events of HALLOWEEN: RESURRECTION, during the events of FvsJ. Through the
small window in his door, he watches Jason walk past. He also sees Lori and
friends go by. The sight of Lori, hearing her name... A new obsession is born.
Michael breaks out of Westin Hills soon after, on Halloween, and goes after
Lori, ending up crossing paths with two other slashers in the process.

FREDDY VS CHUCKY - I'm not big on the idea of Chucky crossing over with anybody,
but I considered writing this because of the rumor a few years ago that Don
Mancini was writing a FREDDY VS CHUCKY script as a spec that he would take to
New Line when he was finished... That's all.

FREDDY VS JASON 2 (1989) - This would've been a sequel to my FREDDY VS JASON
(1987) script and would've been written because some fine, friendly folks were
interested in a sequel after '87 went up. I just didn't/couldn't get around to
writing it. Plus, like '87 mixed elements of NIGHTMARE 4 and F13 7, '89 would
be a mixture of NIGHTMARE 5 and F13 8, and those were elements that I just
wasn't too excited about dealing with.

With that in mind, the story would've had something to do with Britni being
pregnant and Freddy coming back through some nefarious plan involving her
brewing baby. She'd be living in a big city, maybe Manhattan, and Jason would
end up showing up there... somehow. Figuring out how to bring Jason back after
the end of '87 when the story's not set in Crystal Lake also would have presented
a quandary for me. (If it was set in CL, I'd have plenty of time and ways to get
a new heart into the lake for him, Aibel/Berger draft of FvsJ style.)

FREDDY VS JASON: HACK/SLASH - An idea is rumored, I add it to the "maybe" list.
It helps that I'm a fan of the Hack/Slash comics, which tell the story of Cassie
Hack. Cassie travels the country with her hulking, Jason-ish companion Vlad,
finding and destroying slashers.

The crossover would be fun to write, but with the Hack/Slash characters being
so new (there are only 2 H/S comics at the moment, soon to be more, as well as
a stage play by the creator of the EVIL DEAD musical and eventually a movie),
I don't really trust that I'd be able to write them as well as I'd like to.

For more info on Hack/Slash, and to buy the comics if you decide to, go to
http://www.devil-dealer.bigstep.com/category.html?UCIDs=1280245

FREDDY VS LEATHERFACE - Said I might write it because it was brought up in a
Fan Fic Challenge post. To quote myself - "Never gave it much thought, but it
would've been interesting to see Freddy slogging through Leatherface's mind.

Leatherface would've been Bubba Sawyer, 'cause fuck Thomas Hewitt."

GODZILLA X JASON: TOKYO S.O.S. - This probably seems like the craziest idea
on the list (and I know "Tokyo S.O.S." is already the subtitle of 2003's
GODZILLA / MOTHRA / MECHAGODZILLA, but I liked it enough to re-use it ;) ).
Here's what I had written down for it -

"Jason is transferred from Crystal Lake Research Facility to a Tokyo base and
Rowan follows along. There they study Jason's regenerative abilities... and
Godzilla's. In the Godzilla Strike Force that shares the facility is a young
man named Ken, who Rowan starts falling for. When Godzilla returns to Tokyo,
Rowan and Ken are caught in the middle. When the facility is destroyed by
Godzilla, Jason gets free. While Godzilla rampages through Tokyo, Jason pursues
Rowan and Ken..."

Jason and Godzilla in the same story would've been a lot of fun to write. Maybe
I actually will. I dunno.

HALLOWEEN IN CRYSTAL LAKE - I was going to write this one back in 1999, which
was when I submitted the trailer to be put up in the Coming Soon section -
http://www.geocities.com/Hollywood/Bungalow/5685/cody_crystallakepreview.html

Following the events of my H2K: HALLOWEEN 2000 script, Tommy Doyle, Kara Strode,
Stephen and Danny move away from Haddonfield - to Crystal Lake. A couple Halloweens
later, Michael decides to give them a visit. Meanwhile, Jason is taking care of
a group of teens illegally partying at Camp Crystal Lake. The two killers end
up crossing paths and having a floor and wall-busting fight in the old Voorhees
house, resulting in the house collapsing in on them mid-battle.

HELLOWEEN - Someone with dark curiousities would be living inside the Myers house,
probably illegally, and would end up solving the puzzle box inside it. Teens would,
of course, get involved at some point. The ending would be very much like the ending
of the original HELLRAISER - the Cenobites pursuing someone in the Myers house...
while Michael's home. Michael would probably have to take a walk through Hell at
some point, too.

HELLRAISER's a hard nut for a fan fic writer to crack, though, and I don't want
to incur the wrath of Scarecrow Cenobite.

JASON / ALIENS - Jason would probably be getting experimented on in an Earth II
military base, where the scientists also happen to be messing around with Aliens.
Aliens escape, eggs hatch, Jason gets loose, chaos ensues. But the moment Jason
slices through his first an Alien, his machete would melt... Maybe they've got
stronger metal on E2.

JASON / CRITTERS - This seemed like a fun idea, though it couldn't contain any
substantial Jason vs Critters fights. 'Cause how would that work? The story would've
been like a cross between the original CRITTERS and F13: THE FINAL CHAPTER. A
family in one house, a group of teens in the house across the street, a group of
Crites crash-landing nearby, and Jason stalking everybody.

JASON MEETS RE-ANIMATOR - Being a fan of the Re-Animator series and of Jeffrey Combs,
I thought about mixing them in with Jason. I figured Dr. West might have some
interest in studying the big, undead fellow. No story thought of really, though
I probably would've had Dan Cain (from Re-Animator and Bride of..., not in Beyond)
return.

Thac did the West/Jason crossover (with Freddy and Michael involved as well) in
the very cool FJM RE-ANIMATED.

JASON TAKES A WRONG TURN - I actually started writing this one -

				JASON TAKES A WRONG TURN
				 Written by Cody Hamman

Note: What the hell is Jason doing in West Virginia? This story was intended
to follow the events of my adaptation of the JASON VS LEATHERFACE comics. Jason
is on his way back to Crystal Lake from Texas... But, if you prefer, the
explanation could be that it's set between his resurrection in FvsJ and his
arrival on Elm Street. Could be he's taking a crazy long way around and/or he
got lost on the way. Whatever you like. But now, let's continue...

OPEN ON:

EXT. THE WOODS - DAY

We're in an aerial shot, looking over a forest that goes as far as we can
see in every direction. We see dirt roads running through it in some places,
a river flowing through it in another.

SUPERIMPOSE: GREENBRIER BACKCOUNTRY, WEST VIRGINIA

We look down at the river, seeing a canoe passing below.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE RIVER - DAY

In the canoe are tough outdoorsman-type BURT, 50, his portly pal NED, 49,
Burt's son JOHN, 22, and John's girlfriend VERONICA, a.k.a. RONNY, 20.

We watch them canoe for a while, then -

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS - DAY

We're on a dirt road, looking at the woods that runs along the sides of it.
We hear a rustling sound in the woods that slowly grows louder and closer.

JASON VOORHEES soon steps out of the woods, machete in hand. He looks over
to his right.

We turn to look in the same direction. A couple yards away is a fork in the
road. A sign in the grass between the two paths reads: "Bear Mtn. Rd."

Jason steps up in front of us, looking at the fork. After a few seconds,
he starts walking down the path on the left.

CUT TO:

EXT. A RIVER BANK - DUSK

The canoe has been pulled up onto the bank. A couple tents have been pitched
nearby and a campfire is burning a couple yards from the water.

John and Ronny aren't anywhere in sight. Burt and Ned are sitting at the
fire, Ned drinking a beer and Burt plucking the strings of his guitar.

				NED
All my youth and passion spent in
the back seat of that car. Lost
now. All gone. Rust and dust.

				BURT
I think you're getting drunk, Ned.

				NED
			I think you're right.

Ned takes another drink, then -

				NED
			Where are John and Ver-ronny-ca?

				BURT
			I'm not sure.

				NED
			Probably expending some of their
youth and passion out in the woods.
I know if I had any, if I were John,
I'd sure do some expending with her.

				BURT
			That's not quite appropriate talk.
That might be my son's future wife
			you're talking about.

				NED
I know. Blame it on the drink.

Ned takes another.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS - DUSK

Ned's theory of what John and Ronny are doing seems to be pretty accurate.
They're a couple hundred feet out in the woods, Ronny leaning back against
a large tree as she and John make out. After a while, Ronny pulls back
from him.

				RONNY
			Wait...

				JOHN
			What?

				RONNY
You know this is as far as it goes,
			right?

				JOHN
			What do you mean?

				RONNY
I mean, we're not going to be having
sex with your dad and Ned right back
			there...

Ronny motions behind her, toward the river.

				JOHN
I know that. I don't want to do that
			any more than you do.

				RONNY
			Good.

They kiss again.

Something rustles through the woods off to one side. They stop kissing
and look over in that direction.

				RONNY
			What was that?

				JOHN
My guess would be... some furry variety
			of woodland resident.

Something else rustles through the woods on their other side.

CUT TO:

EXT. RIVER BANK - DUSK

Ned and Burt are doing the same things they were doing when we last saw
them.

				NED
Are you gonna play a song or are you
			just gonna pluck all night?

				BURT
What do you want to hear?

				NED
			Something campfire-ish.

				BURT
			How 'bout "Tom Dooley"?

				NED
			No, that song's fucking creepy.

Ned raises the beer bottle to take another drink. We look over so that
only Burt is in frame. As he looks down at his guitar, we hear glass
break and beer splashes all over Burt and the guitar.

				BURT
			What the hell, Ned?

Burt looks over to see -

BURT'S P.O.V. - Ned still has his hand up as if he was still holding the
bottle to his lips. There's an arrow sticking through his hand now, though,
and it shattered the bottle. The arrow continues on, sticking into Ned's
throat. Ned looks at Burt, eyes wide in shock and pain as blood sprays out
of his throat.

Ned falls back onto the ground, dead.

Burt jumps to his feet.

				BURT
			Oh my God!

We hear footsteps crunching on the bank stones. Burt turns around -

ONE EYE is standing in front of him, swinging an axe.

Burt raises his guitar to protect himself, yelling. The axe hits the back
of the guitar, smashes through it, and ends up buried deep in Burt's chest.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS - DUSK

John has an arm over Ronny's shoulders as they walk slowly back toward the
river. If they heard Burt's yells, they didn't think anything of them.

				JOHN
				(mid-sentence)
...should be back to the cars before
			dark tomorrow...

They step out of the woods, onto the river bank, and John stops talking
when an arrow comes flying through the air, sticking into a tree right
beside Ronny's head.

				RONNY
			What...

John and Ronny look over at the arrow, then they look forward.

We look out over the river bank and river, spotting and zooming in on
SAW TOOTH standing on the opposite bank, lowering his bow.

Our view then looks down, at Ned and Burt's bodies laying beside the
fire.

Ronny screams at the sight. John takes his arm from around her shoulders
and runs toward the bodies.

				JOHN
			Dad!

John passes a tent as he goes toward them, and as he does THREE FINGER
jumps out from behind it, tackling John to the ground.

				RONNY
			John, no!

Ronny takes a step forward, but then she's grabbed roughly from behind
and spun around. One Eye is standing there, swinging his axe at her.

Ronny ducks and the axe chops deep into the tree with the arrow in it.

Before John has a chance to try to get out from under Three Finger,
Three Finger pulls a knife and starts stabbing him repeatedly in the
back.

Ronny scrambles away from One Eye and runs off into the woods, screaming.

CUT TO:

EXT. A DIRT ROAD - NIGHT

(Until noted otherwise, everything that follows occurs at NIGHT.)

Jason is walking along the edge of the woods beside the road. He stops
when he hears Ronny screaming off in the distance.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS

Ronny runs through the woods as fast as she can. We hear a shotgun fire
somewhere in the woods, but it's nowhere near Ronny.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS - ELSEWHERE

Three Finger is running through the woods, laughing and yelling. One Eye
slowly follows a few yards behind.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS

Ronny is still running. Suddenly she trips, yelling in pain as she falls
to the ground, landing hard face-down.

She rolls over and sits up, looking down at her legs. The shins of both
legs are cut and bleeding. The focus switches to something beyond her
legs - what tripped her, a strand of barbed wire stretched between two
trees. Blood drips from a few of the barbs.

The focus changes again, to the woods back they way Ronny came from.
Twigs snap, leaves rustle in the darkness...

Ronny grabs something beside her and starts using it to pull herself to
her feet.

RONNY'S P.O.V. - She looks out into the darkness past the trees around her.

Ronny is still rising to her feet... then she stops. She looks over at
the hand she's using to pull herself up -

RONNY'S P.O.V. - She's holding the bottom edge of a burlap coat. Then she
looks up along the coat. It's torn and has several dried blood stains. Her
gaze reaches the coat's collar and above that, looking down at her, is
Jason's hockey masked face.

				RONNY
			No...

Jason swings the machete into her stomach.

Ronny looks down, grabbing the machete's blade. Jason shoves it deeper into
her stomach.

CUT TO:

EXT. THE WOODS - ELSEWHERE

Three Finger is still running through the woods. After a couple seconds
he sees something ahead and slows down... stops...

THREE FINGER'S P.O.V. - A few yards ahead is where Jason is now pulling
his bloody machete out of the stomach of Ronny's dead body. Jason stares
down at the body.

Three Finger takes a step forward.

THREE FINGER'S P.O.V. - As he moves forward a step, Jason quickly looks up,
right at him.

Three Finger ducks behind a tree.
---------

What would follow would be four silent, hard-to-kill slashers stalking and
fighting their way through the woods, past recognizable locations from WRONG
TURN, in the WRONG TURN trio's new home (in an abandoned saw mill) and ending
on a rope bridge high above a river. Special cameo by the Pepto-swilling gas
station attendant from WT.

A dialogue-less (from this point on) story would've been a major pain in the
ass for me, but it would've been fun to write the guys stalking eachother,
and the WT trio's surprise at the fact that nothing they do seems to faze
the hockey masked one. Plus, Saw Tooth and possibly One Eye are even taller
than Kirzinger Jason (the guy who plays Saw Tooth is over 7 feet tall), so
it's a cool visual to imagine. I just never got around to writing it all.

JASON VS ALIENS / CRITTERS / PREDATOR - As I decided not to write the Aliens,
Critters and Predator crossovers one-by-one, I considered throwing them all
into one story. It probably would've been set in the JASON / ALIENS military
base, with scientists incubating Alien and Critter eggs, experimenting on Jason,
and... I don't know where the Predator comes in.

JASON VS BLADE - In a desperate attempt to get rid of Blade, a group of vampires
lure him to Crystal Lake, hoping to get him to cross paths with, and get killed
by, Jason. (Freddy would also be hanging around in the dreams of Crystal Lake
residents and visitors in the FJB version above.)

In BLADE 2, Blade's mechanic and technical guy was Scud. Scud has scars on
his abdomen from when the two girls he was camping with turned out to be
vampires and attacked him. Blade showed up and saved him... That would've been
the opening of this story, and Scud would've been camping in the woods of
Crystal Lake. Scud would recover throughout the story, and at the end he and
Blade would go off to live the events of BLADE 2.

JASON VS CHUCKY - I said I'm not big on Chucky as a crossover character, but I'll
consider writing anything. :) Chucky would be, once again, trying to possess a
child. This kid totes his Good Guy doll along with him to summer camp... Camp
Crystal Lake.

I don't know if it would've happened if I did write the crossover, but one idea
that came to mind was to have Chucky decide he'd rather be in a large, unkillable
body than a doll while he's trying to find a better, human body. Chucky possesses
Jason, and Jason's soul ends up jumping into Chucky's body... Wackiness ensues.
That's more of a joke idea than something I'd actually do.

JASON VS PREDATOR - Similar to the stories by Brandon Noel Keith, my idea for
this one would have had the Predator seeing Jason as a worthy opponent and coming
to Crystal Lake to take him on.

JASON VS THE TALL MAN - It probably would've been Jason in a story somewhat similar
to what's known of Roger Avary's PHANTASM'S END script -

"The year is 2012 and there are only three U.S. states left. Between New York and
California is the wasteland known as the Plague Zone. Unfortunately, the evil Tall
Man controls that area. Since many people are dead, the Tall Man is able to make
thousands of dwarf slaves for his planet daily in the Mormon Mausoleum. Besides him,
the other residents are "baggers," human-like creatures that are infected by the Tall
Man's blood, the dwarves, and, of course, the silver spheres, all trying to break out
of the barrier that contains them and into the real world. A group of hi-tech troops
are sent in to destroy the red dimension where the Tall Man gets his power, Reggie
follows so he can find Mike after a series of nightmares he had. Will they be able to
finally destroy the Tall Man for good?"

Have the mausoleum the Tall Man is based in in Crystal Lake, write a "hi-tech
troop" with Bruce Campbell in mind...

Jason sharing the screen with Angus Scrimm, Bruce Campbell and Reggie Bannister.
Now that would be a hell of a movie to see.

TREMORS: THE SERIES - EPISODE 13: JASON TAKES PERFECTION

I'm a huge fan of everything TREMORS, so of course this came to mind. The series
did have 13 episodes already, but I think room could be made to give Jason his
number.

Jason has been captured for the lead-in to JASON X, and he's transferred to
the secret, supposedly closed, underground research facility near Perfection.
He ends up busting out, making his way to Perfection and encountering the series'
characters, including good ol' Burt and his arsenal. Some Shriekers and Ass
Blasters would be in town at the same time, giving Jason some odd creatures to
hack up and tussle with. Jason would've gotten scarfed by a Graboid at one point,
possibly El Blanco, but would be quickly spit back out (much like Project 4-12
in episode 5.) In the end, Jason would be captured again and taken back to
Crystal Lake.

This one would've been written just like an hour long episode of TV series,
notes for commercial breaks and all.

That's it for now. If anyone's interested in writing one of the crossovers I had
some story for, e-mail or PM me. :)
