       Lentil as Anything is a unique not for profit community organisation. We operate as a restaurant, where customers pay what they feel the food is worth. In this setting we provide free food to countless, isolated people who have very limited resources. Social integration is the guiding principal behind Lentil – as is, modelling and supportinga diverse, multicultural community that practices trust and generosity.

        Lentil has provided unique training and educational opportunities for marginalised people who are struggling to find aplace in mainstream institutions. Currently, it provides a place forover a hundred new migrants, refugees, people with disabilities and long-term unemployed to build confidence, gain skills and receive assistance with access to legal, health, housing and education services.

         In addition to running the sites, we provide crisis accommodation, English tutoring and homework assistance, and drivinglessons. We currently run sites at the Abbotsford Convent, Brunswick, St Kilda, the canteen at the Collingwood College and the kiosk atArtplay in the city.

Lentil is a non-profit Incorporated Association and is classified a Public Benevolent Institution with the ATO.
