This beautiful baby girl has been created from the adorable Tabitha sculpt by the talented Pat Moulton.

I took some of Payton’s pictures outside in natural sunlight and some inside in front of a window. I took many pictures, only using the ones that made her look true to what she really looks like. The photos have not been enhanced in any way. I did resize to fit for the template, and add my nursery name.

I have used soft premium blonde mohair and have micro-rooted her hair one to two hairs at a time. This took several days, but was well worth it. Her hair is so light and soft that it looks and feels like a real newborns hair. I have sealed the inside of the hair with waterproof glue so you can gently dampen and style it to your liking. I have painted barely there eyebrows to match her hair.

Payton’s body is doe-suede, so soft and cuddly which makes her a joy to hold. Her body has been weighted with ‘Eversoft’ polyester stuffing, poly pellets, and glass beads. She is evenly weighted and is fully poseable.

Payton’s lips have been painted in a realistic lip shade and have been glossed for a new baby look.

Payton’s nose is painted for depth and realism. I do not drill holes into the vinyl for the same reason I do not heat it up. This way, if she is being taken good care of, she will be a great collectable for many years.

I have taken great care in creating realistic details. I have added layers and layers of paint, letting them cure for days before moving on to the next layer. The paints dry fast and once dry, they are set. A quick hand is needed. I have been painting for many, many years and so I make sure that each reborn I do is up to my perfectionist standard the first time. I will not put a reborn baby up unless it meets these standards, and I myself love it.

You will fall in love with Payton the moment you hold her in your arms! I know I did!

Payton’s legs, arms and head have been blushed and highlighted with many layers of non-heat setting paints and sealed with a matt sealer. I use my own blend of colours to achieve a true to life baby skin tone on every one of my babies, which makes them truly unique and an OOAK. I then gave Payton a peaches and cream complexion with a natural baby blush to her skin. I use ‘Bloomers ‘n’ Bows’ air-dry paints specifically for vinyl. These paints are permanent, non-toxic and since there is no heating, the integrity of the vinyl is not compromised.

Payton’s limbs have been weighted with ultra fine glass beads and ‘Eversoft’ polyester stuffing. I then seal the limbs with plugs and glue so the beads can’t migrate.

Payton’s nails have been painted a natural nail color with off-white tips. They have been sealed with a semi-gloss.

Please be gentle and always lift her by her body and not by her arms or leg as this may cause damage to her joints. Payton’s head needs to be supported like a real baby’s.

I have hand-rooted her eyelashes using human hair so they look and feel just like real baby eyelashes. She is such a soft and cuddly baby she was a joy to reborn.

I have blushed and highlighted every crease on this special little girl. I have given Payton delicate veins in all the right places.
