This adorable baby boy has been created from the adorable Reasee sculpt by the very talented Val Shelton.

I took some of Kevin’s pictures outside in natural sunlight and some inside in front of a window. I took many pictures, only using the ones that made him look true to what he really looks like. The photos have not been enhanced in any way. I did resize them to fit the template, and add my nursery name.

I have blushed and highlighted every crease on this special little boy. I have given Kevin delicate veins in all the right places and a couple of small stork bites. The above picture is a stork bite on his left thigh.

This is a picture of the thumb size indent on the back of his head. This is on all Reasee kits and is suppose to be there.

You will fall in love with Kevin the moment you hold him in your arms! I know I did!

Kevin’s legs, arms and head have been blushed and highlighted with many layers of non-heat setting paints and sealed with a matt sealer. I use my own blend of colours to achieve a true to life baby skin tone on every one of my babies, which makes them truly unique and an OOAK. I then gave Kevin a newborn baby complexion with a natural baby blush to his skin. I use ‘Bloomers ‘n’ Bows’ air-dry paints specifically for vinyl. These paints are permanent, non-toxic and since there is no heating, the integrity of the vinyl is not compromised.

Kevin’s lips have been painted in a realistic lip shade and have been glossed for a new baby look.

Kevin’s nose is painted for depth and realism. I do not drill holes into the vinyl for the same reason I do not heat it up. This way, if he is being taken good care of, he will be a great collectable for many years.

I have used soft premium blonde mohair in 3 different shades and have micro-rooted his hair one to two hairs at a time. This took several days, but was well worth it. His hair is so light and soft that it looks and feels like a real newborns hair. I have sealed the inside of the hair with waterproof glue so you can gently dampen and style it to your liking. I have painted barely there eyebrows to match his hair.

I have also hand-rooted his eyelashes using human hair so they look and feel just like real baby eyelashes. He is such a soft and cuddly baby and he was a joy to reborn. Kevin can wear 0-3 month size baby clothes.

Kevin’s body is white flannel, so soft and cuddly which makes him a joy to hold. His body has been weighted with ‘Eversoft’ polyester stuffing, poly pellets, and glass beads. He is evenly weighted and is fully poseable.

Kevin’s limbs have been weighted with ultra fine glass beads and ‘Eversoft’ polyester stuffing. I then seal the limbs with felt and glue so the beads can’t migrate.

Kevin’s nails have been painted a natural nail color with off-white tips. They have been sealed with a semi-gloss.

Kevin is a collectible doll and is not intended for small children. Care and caution should always be used when handling a reborn.
