The Sugamo Prison Reunion
Association Home Page

The Sugamo Prison Reunion Association was founded by my dad, "Robert N. Shively Sr." in January 1990 as a result of an ad placed by John Ginn in the "DAV" (disabled veterans) magazine January 1990 in reference to searching for servicemen stationed at Sugamo Prison, to help with information etc. for a book he was writing titled "Sugamo Prison, Tokyo."

Please feel free to ask questions in reference to either the Military or the prisoners and we shall be happy to reply. If you know of any servicemen that were ever stationed at Sugamo Prison, living or deceased, please furnish the names and address so the Association can contact them or place them in our Memorial Archives.

We show a total of 504 people that we have located out of the 2450 that actually served at the prison, during its six years or so of operation. We have also found out about some 229 former GIs that were reported as deceased. These were either killed in Korea or reported by friends and families as deceased by whatever reasons.
