The state of the Montreal Expos and Toronto Blue Jays can be placed on the actions of non-other then the MLB Players Union. Their work stoppage in 1994 was the beginning of the end of Major League Baseball in Canada. The Expos are surely going to move following this season, and the Blue Jays haven't made the playoffs in 10 years. As fans we must do something, strike at the heart of what caused this problem and insure it does not happen again. We must SUE!

Here is a brief time line of events:

August 11th, 1994-
Montreal 74-40, best team in baseball, only club with above .600 record in the NL. Leads the division by 6 games, greatest margin in the NL.

Toronto, 4 Million in attendence 3 straight years. First in attendance in the Major Leagues, over 49,000 a game. Following season after back-to-back World Championships.

August 12th, 1994-
M ajor League Baseball Players Union goes on a strike, thus cancelling the remainder of the 1994 season and World Series.

August 12th, 2004-

Montreal 46-66, last in the NL East, trailiing Atlanta by 18 games. Finishing off most likely their last season in Montreal before being moved with no replacement.

Toronto 48-66, last in the AL East, trailing New York by 24.5 games. Haven't had a season over 3 million in attendence since 1993 and over 2 million since 1999.
