Legal Action Related to David Brady's Estate

Excerpts from Nov. 13, 1837 petition for payment.

David J. Brady, grandson of David Brady, wanted the executor, David Brady's brother John, to pay interest on money held until David J. came of age (21).

He and his four sisters were heirs.

The petition of David J. Brady, a resident of the town of Greenwich in the County of Huron & State of Ohio,  but now at Rye, in the said County of Westchester respectfully showth--That David Brady, the Grandfather of your Petitioner late of the town of South Salem in the said County of Westchester, departed this life at the said town prior to the 8th day of April 1828 leaving.....

7th day of Nov 1831....petitioners sister, Easter Jane Brady, who was then the wife of Daniel W. Brown, having arrived to the age of 21 years......

That the said Easter Brady,  the widow of the said deceased, died in the month of July 1833

Petitioner having arrived to the age of 21 years on the 3rd of August last came on from his residence in Ohio.....

Except the said Phebe Ann Brady who is not yet 21 years of age...
