Anbae Sivam Kamal Haasan, Madhavan, Kiran Music by Vidyasaagar
/ 5
Here comes Kamal Haasan's next film, and this time he's teaming up with Madhavan. Priyadarshan directs the film. Vidyasaagar scores the music. How's the music? Surprisingly bad, and Kamal Haasan has never sounded worse.
Best song: Poo Vaasam.

Vaseegara Vijay, Sneha Music by S.A. Rajkumar
/ 5
Vijay returns to romance in this film with Sweta. S.A. Rajkumar, who has a good track record with Vijay (including "Poovae Unnakkaaga" and "Thullatha Manamum Thullum") scores the music. How is it? It's the best Vijay album to come out since "Shah Jahan." It's a 3 / 5 for now, and I might increase the score after repeated listening.
Best song: Oru Thadavai.

Whistle Aditya, Sherin Music by D. Imann
/ 5
This is music director D. Imann's fourth effort. While it could've been good, it's ruined by his bad selection of singers.
Best song: Whistle Adikkum.

Pallavan Manoj, Rathi, Sarna Music by Vidyasaagar
/ 5
Here comes what may well be Manoj's last chance to succeed in the Tamil film industry. It's a love story on a bus, and Vidyasaagar scores the music. How is it? Well, in keeping with the trend of the moment, it's good, but not great.
Best song: Mercury Poovae.

PopCarn Mohanlal, Simran, Jyothi Music by Yuvan Shankar Raja
/ 5
I have looked forward to the "PopCarn" album for a very long time. It is an album with an Eastern-Western fusion. How is it? Well, while it's no "Nandhaa," it's good, and the song "Kaadhalaagi Kaninthathu" is one of the best of the year.
Best song: Kaadhalaagi Kaninthathu.

Kaadhal Sugamaanathu Tarun Kumar, Sneha Music by Siva
/ 5
Siva -- the little-known Music Director for such films as "Nilaavae Vae" and "Arputham" -- has come out with his next album, for a movie starring Tarun Kumar and Sneha. How is it? Annoyingly nice.
Best song: Ailu Jenmangal or Adi Sugamaa.
