We are also always looking for enthusiastic people to be
Girl Scout Leaders or volunteers. There will be information about
new and existing troops, becoming a leader, volunteer resources,
training, and other opportunities that are available for
girls and adults. Being a Girl Scout volunteer is a wonderful way to spend
quality time with your daughter and make a difference in other girls’ lives.

New Process for Council Approval
We spoke and council listened. As of Oct 1st, Leaders are to submit a new Eligibility Form B220 to GSCNC,
getting SUM or Field Director Signature and once this form is approved by
Council than that troop can go on most field trips, overnights and camping trips
by just letting the council know (form B240), The exceptions to this is for trips more
than 2 nights (3 if holiday), Trips 200 miles or more outside the council boundaries and International trips.
These 3 activities need to have council approval only 4 weeks ahead of time.
These forms are available now on the GSCNC web site. We will go over in more detail at
Sept Leaders meeting.
E-forms
New formatta software provides secure transmission of data. Leaders can save and print forms, Transfer forms electronically to other volunteers and submit forms electronically to GSCNC.
