The Strolling Silver Strings The Strolling Silver Strings is a joint presentation of the Music Education and Programs for the Gifted of Norfolk Public School’s. The members of this ensemble are students in the five Norfolk High Schools. They are selected by audition and meet for one rehearsal each week. Heidi Kirby, Administrative Director is also the accompanist. The Musical Director is Mr. Paul Wilson Jr. Since being formed in 1986, the Silver Strings have presented over 750 performances and average 60 performances yearly at various civic, political, military, business and charity events.
