Colorbar="center" Me

This is me taken at Ottawa's Gay Pride celebrations.

Ya, ya, ya -- I shouldn't drink so much when I'm on vacation in the summer... because things like this happen! I passed out after drinking too much rye and gingerale. But no one was hurt, and I did have a good time! The picture was taken at our trailer at Jones Pond in New York State, about an hour south of Rochester. Its an all-male, all-gay campground.

trains
I may not look happy but I was, honestly! Here I am beside Via Rail Canada's transcontinental train, "The Canadian" when I took it from Toronto to Vancouver the summer of '97. I love trains and train travel and my links page has an entire railway section. So if you like that sorta thing, then check out my links.

I have cropped my brother out of this picture because he was making the stupid faces that little brothers make. It was taken at my dad's house -- my brother showed up out of the blue from Calgary with his girlfriend after being away from home for over a year. My dad cried and just HAD to get a picture of us together (thus the less than enthusiatic look on my face) The face my brother was making was quite nasty -- so I figured you really didn't need to see that, at least not yet.

Me, my brother Patrick and my grandmother whom everyone affectionately calls "Tweeds" because she seems to be the "proper" British-type grandmother, who should be running around in tweed suits. She is 89 years old this year, and still drives from her home in Ontario to her winter home in Florida every year. She loads her Singer sewing machine in the trunk of her car and speeds down to Florida, often getting a few tickets. I can only hope that I am as active and spry as her when I am that age!

Copenhagen
Me in Copenhagen, 1991. I have been there twice and to Prague once. I love traveling, and enjoy the history and architecture in Europe -- they take 300 and 400-year-old buildings for granted, but I just inhaled as much of that history as I could when I was there.

Prague
Now this is Prague in January -- 1994 to be exact -- when I was working there for 2 weeks for Bata Shoes. Another great place with a lot of history -- luckily during WW II only one bomb went off in the city, and the Communists kept the city as their "showcase" so most of the original buildings are still there, intact, and in use. If you like theatre and opera, it is the place to go -- I saw 6 operas in 6 days, and 3 plays in 4 different theatres. Top ticket price in Canadian dollars: $6.00. Can't beat it! This was a time when I had more hair on my head and less on my face.

Princey

No relation to me, but he was walking pretty close to me. This is Prince Phillip (he IS looking a little worn, isn't he?) when he and his wife Betty visited my fair city of London, Ontario. I stood all day in the hot summer sun to get this great spot, and the Old Queen went to the other side of the walk, and I only got to see this Old Queen up close.

My goofy dad
This is the Man who calls himself my father. I have never seen him before in my life. But I will admit he IS my goofy dad.

Jennifer
This is my most-cool step sister. She now lives in British Columbia and she is a great person to hang out with. She and I always have a howl together when we see each other. One glance from me across the dining room table and she is in my control. Doesn't she look like Celine Dion? I have a better, more recent picture of her which I took but I still have to scan it. Once I do you can bet I will post her picture here again!

Kenney
This is the love of my life, Ken. He and I have been together for almost 8 years now. He and I met on-line on AOL, so if you are in an on-line romance, good things may come of it!
