A short update on Shane, in his own words...

"At the moment I have a play set up for the fall. Large Beast productions, back in the U.K. have just finished their short film and I'm just about to start on a 'directing and writing' course for a short while here in Hollywood or New York if I work it out."

  • The Large Beast Productions website has news that their new production Four will be shown on Sky MovieMax on April 8th, 18th and 23rd. Preceeding each of the broadcasts will be a short interview with Four producer William Villiers, Shane's partner producer at Large Beast.

  • The Bastogne episode of Band of Brothers will air on Irish tv channel Network Two on Tuesday February 5.

  • Added some info to Shane's filmography: In the 1990 Mel Gibson version of Hamlet, Shane had several parts; one is as a serf holding Mel's horse, another as a servant and also as a background person. Thanks John!
  • John also tells me that Shane has also worked on a film with George "Minder" Cole

  • The first draft of the script for Band of Brothers Episode 6 (Bastogne, which featured Shane) is up for sale at ebay:

BAND OF BROTHERS Pt6 Angels From Above Script
This is an original production copy script of Episode 6 Angels From Above from the recent Band of Brothers WW2 television series – produced by Stephen Spielberg and Tom Hanks. Obtained from the Hatfiled studios set after filming completeion. The series is based closely on the true story of Easy Company of the US 101st Airborne Division and their adventures throughout the Second World War. This particular script is for Episode 6 Angels From Above Screenplay by John Orloff – based on the book Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose. The script is dated October 22nd 1999 and is a First Draft copy and consists of 64 pages.
