GingerBread

Every year, mom and I make gingerbread houses at Christmas. It's been a tradition mom started a long time ago, I just started helping a few years ago....
Mom has entered and won a contest or two with her houses. Last year, her work was one of the sponcors in a contest, so they got a free entry, and asked us to do it. The board was huge, so we created a village out of it... we got 2nd place in our category!!!! :-) Here are a few pictures of the village and details of it.

this is the toy shop... (S. Claus Toys & Company) all of the individual houses follow this format with the sign... each one is decorated a little bit differently though!

this is the first of 2 trains. (the Lollipop Transports) it's over to the left (when looking at it)

this is the other train... it's pulling up to the train station at the right! :-)

this is one of the figurines we have on the board... there are santas and snowmen scattered around the village... and the pole with the gumdrop is one of our lightposts.

this is our paperboy. the building he is outside is the Sun News North Pole Satelite Office...
(since the village was for them in the competition, they had to be represented... the houses each have a newpaper rolled up outside as well.)

and this is a view of the whole village. *g* isn't it cool?!?!?!
