Authors Note: This is a response to a challenge by Sunnie and the storyline is based on the video to the song 'Hero' by Enrique Iglesias, which you should definetly watch coz it's the saddest thing in the world... Well maybe not the saddest but the WTC version definetly is.

Challenge By Sunnie: Have you ever heard and seen the video for 'Hero' by Enrique Englasias? Everytime I see it,
which is like everyday I think "Buffy and Angel" Then I'll be balling by the end. If you've
seen the video you know why.

Okay concept of story: Angel for some reason (up to you) asks Buffy to run away with him Prefrebly she'll still be dating Riley. Buffy of course agrees and than they just go. Now they are basically taking a road trip. In that great converable. Oh, and they go with no word to anyone. They just pack up and go. They are having a great time. Doing all romantic thing and did I mention Angel was human? I don't think I did. Yeah, he's human. But when they get towards,I don't know the desert, Riley catches up with them, and he is pist. So he and his intitive buddies all are packed up on drugs, so they hold Buffy while they kick the crapt out of Angel. Or how ever you want it. Angel just has to be beaten up, and Buffy can't help cause she is being held. (You really need to see the video to get it.) Angel ends up being seriously hurt, or dead by the end.

Musts:
-Angel must have some personal item. That he has all the time. He gives it to Buffy after he is beaten. (See video again)
-Make it good. Like have Buffy end up being pregnet after Angel is beaten to death or something. Also Fluff, people. I have
to stress it enough. FLUFF. With some agnst I don't know why. I'm just in the mood.
-Make Buffy think about it. You just don't make these kind of decions on the fly.
-Details. Details. Details.

-It is officially one week from today that Angel goes evil on the FX channel.
So in commeration of that I would like to issue just a fluff challenge for that.

Prologue

“Ohmygod, please, Angel don’t leave me. Please, I need you.” Tears streamed down her face as she begged her boyfriend, her sobs increased as his eyes closed and his grip on her hand weakened “Please Angel, please don’t go, stay with me, don't close you're eyes...”

“Shhh, Buffy it’s ok” he breathed, every word burning his body, he drew her hand up to his heart “I love you, I will always love you, I’ll never leave you.” His eyes flickered open for a brief second taking in his last sight of her - ‘Eyes, look your last’, into her hand he released his choker, her hand remained over his heart, clasping his charm as his hand slumped to the side of his body. She hugged him close - ‘Arms, take your last embrace’, her lips descended on his for the last time in a lingering, bittersweet kiss - ‘And, lips, O you The doors of breath, seal with a righteous kiss...’

Her tears mingled with his as he felt his heart begin to slow beneath her fingertips “Oh god no, no, no, don’t go, don’t leave me, please...”

She felt her heartbreak within her chest as she felt his last breath on the side of her neck and then nothing, no warm air brushing her skin, no pounding of his heart beneath her hand, no loving soul warming her own.

The high pitched sounds of police sirens rang dully in her ear but she didn't acknoledge them, the only thing in the world was the limp body of her lover, cradled in her arms.
