Bayley was offered to me by her breeders in place of a pup which didn’t eventuate, and I will be forever grateful. She was 18 months old when she arrived here, and within a month she had gone Best On Parade at an All Breeds Ribbon Parade, and at a Newfoundland Club Ribbon Parade, and Best of Breed & Junior of Group at a Champ Show. She is still, at 7, able to go out in the showring and go Best of Breed over younger opposition

She has a superb show record with 47 challenges, and numerous Best of Breeds & Groups to date. She has 4 Best In Shows at All Breeds Open Shows and her record in Specialty Shows under Specialist judges is excellent.
At 1 year; Reserve Bitch In Show
At 2 years; Reserve Best In Show
At 4 years; Best In Show (out having pups at 3)
At 7 years; Reserve Bitch In Show, Brood Bitch In Show (there were no shows in intervening years).

Not just a showgirl, Bayley competes successfully in obedience, draftwork and water trials and takes her place at Club fundraisers & demonstrations. She has also produced a great litter from which the only 2 shown have achieved their titles. Elsa (BIS Ch Stormtide Black At Ya) becoming only the second Newfoundland bitch to go Best In Show at an All Breeds Champ Show in NZ, along with many group awards. Tide (Ch Stormtide Black to the Future), while overshadowed by her sister has an Intermediate & Reserve of Group to her credit from limited showing. Both these girls, along with their sisters Brylee (Stormtide Black As) and Chilli (Stormtide Never Go Black), successfully compete in waterwork and carting.

Bayley has won many Club awards including Most Outstanding, Supreme Working, Obedience, Best Show Bitch and has won the Brood Bitch Trophy 4 times. She is the ultimate Newfie, having a wonderful temperament and great devotion and willingness to learn. She loves to perform in both the show and obedience rings, and is a cruisy, fun companion at home.

Bayley’s final litter is expected 2 March 2007 to AusCh Planhaven Brigadoon.

Back
Tide is a daughter of Bayley from her first litter to NZCh Topmasts Joseph Johnson DD (Imp Can).
I call her my “Wild Child” as she is so full on in everything she does. She is very loving, affectionate and playful, and is making good progress with obedience, carting and waterwork.
She has a Reserve Best of Group, and an Intermediate of Group in Championship Shows, and a Reserve In Show, Group Open Show from limited showing. She went Open In Show at our last Club Specialty Champ Show in September 2006, as well as taking 1st in Bitch Head and 3rd in Movement. With her sisters Ch Stormtide Black At Ya (Elsa) and Stormtide Black As (Brylee) she helped Stormtide to also win the Breeders Stakes.

Stormtide More Than a Feeling (Seal)
4 1/2 months old

Seal is my boy from a precious litter of 2 from my "Beautiful Bayley" conceived from frozen semen. His dad is the 2006 NSW Newfoundland Club Specialty winner AusCh Planhaven Bigadoon.
He is a happy, confident boy, just so much like his Mum. He is being shown sparingly while at the gangly stage and is just learning to swim and do basic obedience at present.
He is growing "like Topsy" and is already as tall as his half sister Tide at only 7 months. Like both Bayley and Tide, (who came 1st & 3rd in Movement at our last Newf Specialty), his movement is great and I am very pleased with the way he is coming on.
