No, in order to join our Weyrs we ask that you carefully read our rules page and posting guide, then submit a character application, which is provided for you below, to stormfiresbod@googlegroups.com. We also ask that you please make your character descriptions detailed to give us a good idea of who your character is.
IMPORTANT NOTE: If you send your application as an attachment, we will not be able to read it as Yahoogroups no longer stores attachments. Please send your application as a plain or HTML text e-mail and not as an attachment, and title it Character App. (Character's Name).
If your character is going to be a candidate, we ask that you please keep in mind that Gold and Bronze dragons are rare and only given out to writers who post often and well. So please don't put down that you want only a Gold or a Bronze, or we will ask you to add colors to your preferences and you have the possibility of ending up with nothing. There is no shame in getting a Brown, Blue, or Green dragon, they are all important to the Weyr. (And we need browns and blues really badly.)
Please think about how common certain characteristics are realistically. There are plenty of ways to make your character unique while still staying away from rare or unusual features such as red hair, being a twin or a Lord Holder's child. Use common sense, and if you are going to include such a feature in your application, be prepared to give a very good explanation for it, and be prepared to change it if asked.
