SPRING BREAK 2000

This is Rob moments after we saw his suitcase coming down the ramp with his clothes spewing out of his suitcase. The stupid jerks in terminal 3 totally trashed his suitcase. Thankgoodness Rob is good with duct tape. It's amazing what you can do with that stuff.

This is where we stayed in Frenando, Spain, just outside of Madrid. All the houses were hooked together and all looked the same, but they were really cool. Talk about saving space.

Here we are at the beach at Tortellinomos, located at the southern part of Spain. Behind us is the Mediterranean Sea. We took a 6 hour bus down from Madrid to the coast and stayed for two nights.

David and Rob on our 8th floor balcony. Look how close we are to the beach, it was way cool until Rob saw a naked man walk out on his balcony across the street. Thankgoodness I was inside watching rabbits on Spanish TV.

A great shot of the coast.

There are two cans in every bathroom. We figured one must be for washing our feet. I got a little wet playing on the beach so I was drying my shorts with the hotel room hairdryer.

We are back in Madrid now. There were tons of these "circle plazas"- no 4-way stops. There were also lots of fountains. Fountains everywhere; definitely not a place to be if you have to go to the restroom.

Here I am with my gut and my umbrella. Being that we were tall, white guys, people always stared at us. It got annoying after a while and since I carried my camera along with me everywhere we went I put it under my coat making it look like I had a gut. I gave them something to stare at. It was funny to see all the people look at me and my gut.

Aaa yes, Haiti. How could I forget Haiti. This was definitely a Spanish cafe, and they definitely served Spanish food. Rob courageously got the smorgisboard plate, David got fish, and boy does he love seafood...NOT, and I went with the good old reliable hamburgesa, burnt but beef.

Here we are inside Haiti. Rob is thinking about who he is going to flick this taste tapias at and David is trying to suppress the upcoming fish that at any moment might come shooting out of his mouth. Hey there is me in the mirror snappin this pic.

One day the Rhodes graciously took us to Toledo. It was way cool. We ate at this little place nestled in the heart of the city. It was absolutely delicious and the waitor was a kick, even though I couldn't understand him.

Me sitting next to a cool fountain next to the King and Queen's house.
