Hatred, bigotry, and now outright deception
Laura Schlessinger may not call herself a psychotherapist under the California Business and Professions Code. She is not a certified psychotherapist.. See §2902-2903.
According to our sources, while her website says she is a "Licensed Marriage, Family and Child Counselor" (http://www.drlaura.com/about/) this is incorrect. Her license status is inactive (see below). To make it active, she would have to return to school so that she could meet the continuing education requirements.
